At this point, Barack Obama has a better chance at winning "The Democratic Woman Politician of the Year" than Hillary Clinton.

Ya know, I really like Obama. We feel the same way about the issues and I finally am free of the despair that has plagued my experience with the political process. I even plan to voting for him in November...

However, these types of characterizations bring to mind the rabid, mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging mass hysteria that got Bush elected. Quite frankly, all the hyperbole scares the shiat outta me.

With those comparisons, are you sure she isn't suggesting assassination?

2008-01-08 1:37:04 PM
I wasn't going to vote for President, but if Obama wins the nomination I'm going to vote at least six or seven times this year.

I don't like the HuffPo doing that. What do JFK, RFK, and MLK all have in common?

/besides a "K"

That is what I've been thinking.

I mean, there is already heighten concerns about that. Are we just waiting around to see if Obama is more like RFK or JFK?

It's the 3 K's that make it interesting. Obama = KKK. Obviously.

Is Obama a staunch anti-communist and global intervensionist, like JFK?

Dear Subby: When you make facetious remarks about Ghandi, Mother Teresa, Santa Claus and Jesus Christ, we get that you don't like Obama.

Clinton offers the Dems their best chance at a victory, but she also gives Repubs their best shot too.

Obama talks and talks and says nothing, just like any slick politician. All of this slobbering over him is hilarious. Do we really need Oprah to pick our Presidents for us? Geez.

The whole field is lame, BTW. Whoever gets in will just offer more of the same. Change, my ass.

Hearing these repeated comparisons to JFK makes me groan and roll my eyes.

And what the hell does MLK have anything to do with Obama?

Nonsense, Jesus is a white man from Oxford! He's friends with Jeff Vader.

barneyfifesbullet: Obama talks and talks and says nothing

No, the problem is that you're pre-disposed to not listen. He says plenty and he writes even more. Try reading sometime. It just might do the trick.

MFL: Keep on raising those expectations.

After the last 7 years, they certainly couldn't get any lower.

You need to talk less and listen more.

I follow politics on a daily basis, even in non-election times.

I listen plenty. I'm just not a brainwashed fanboy.

JFK, RFK, and MLK all were assassinated. My husband said this last night he was worried something bad would happen to this guy becayse just like Bobby Kennedy, Obama just seems so nice and likeable some force of evil might decide to snuff him out.

That would cause problems I don't even want to think about and I'm up here in Canada.

Maybe it's just that you disagree with what Obama says, but to claim that he says "nothing" makes me not believe a word you are saying.

Obama: Champion of White Guilt.

What is this "Obama" people keep talking about ... is that some sort of new social networking site?

/Oh internet, you and your silly made-up words ...

It's spelled "Gandhi" and weren't most of those people assassinated?

MickCollins: Obama: Champion of White Guilt.

I think he is more than that. He's got it all!

He's black...or white, depending on your perspective.

He attends a christian church. But his name is Barack Hussein Obama...clearly a muslim radical.

Good lookine dude, so the chicks dig him.

He is the Oprah of politics...Oh, He's got Oprah on his side!!

I don't expect much, no matter who wins.

Just look at what happened to this Dem Congress that I voted for that was going to get our people out of Iraq and hold Bush and Cheney responsible for their long list of crimes. Nothing but business as usual.

Whoever the next POTUS is will have enough on their plate just trying to clean up some of the mess Bush will leave behind.

Wow. No offense to your husband, but that's kinda tinfoil hattish if one actually believes it.

If it wasn't for his gun-grabbing, I'd vote for him in a heartbeat.

He needs to read all 10 of the Bill of Rights, not just the politically easy ones.

2008-01-08 3:55:50 PM
1. He is young, charismatic and a voice for change
2. He is an intelligent and articulate black man
3. He is bucking the party machine

He might not be JFK, RFK or MLK; but he almost certainly resembles their legends as much as they did.

Are you saying he is to dumb to read?
Or are you saying that he is too lazy?

You are such a racist, you don't understand the plight of the black man.

That's the winning strategy. Accuse anyone that contradicts Barack of being a racist.

/worked for the anti-illegal immigrant lobby

Yes, but Santa Clause, Jesus Christ, and Mother Theresa weren't taken out by ***NO CARRIER***

That was either an A+ troll or you are "to" dumb to read. And how could that strategy possibly have worked for the anti-illegal immigrant lobby. It's a pretty sound argument for a person or group who is pro undocumented workers, but anti? I don't think so.
