What's gained by him apologizing? I don't see how this could hurt the Dems.

Bush laughs when soldiers die.

/I seen it

I doubt he cares enough to bother laughing.

EvilElecBlanket: What's gained by him apologizing? I don't see how this could hurt the Dems.

It really gave the Right-wing blogosphere/radio/tv a huge talking point for the week and overshadowed the point of the debate in the first place. The Dems lost their moral high ground on SCHIP and came off looking like dicks instead.

I'd like him to resign too. Not for saying it, but for backing down.

What a wuss.

Why do republicons fear the truth so much?

Too bad. Limpbaugh had his acolytes fired up over this, though.

It takes a bit if that ass smell off him.

He never actually said that Bush enjoys when soldiers die.

Just thought I'd point that out for the Rush Limbaugh robots out there who always pull the "he never said that" card.

Why did Stark apologize for telling the truth?

Bush probably gets a little misty at times, if he lets himself think about the dead.
But hey, money is money!

Semper Fib!

This is why I can't bring myself to vote Democrat as bad as I hate the republicans. Such pussies. fark em all. Bush DOES treat the deaths of soldiers as nothing to him. It's all ok cause God is guiding him. he is the worst kind of human being, but Democrats are farking pussies.

2007-10-23 4:25:23 PM
His appology should've been "I'm sorry we elected a President that loves soldiers heads getting blown off. I can't tell you how sorry I am about that. "

2007-10-23 4:25:41 PM
Bush laughs when soldiers and puppies die. He cast an evil spell on my dog, giving it diarrhea! You can't prove he didn't! My hate of his politics has nothing to do with it!

Each day i wake up hoping to see some light shine through the clouds. But as each day grows darker the lies get thicker. Soon there will be no sun at all.

This is a good point. Conservatives are good at taking things out of context, which is why they hate it when you document everything they say.

You know who won't let anymore soldiers die in Iraq?

2007-10-23 4:29:51 PM
[Stark said] U.S. troops are being sent to Iraq "to get their heads blown off for the president's amusement."

That's farking hilarious. In the horribly distasteful I-can't-believe-he-said-that kind of way. But still hilarious.

Ra_: You know who won't let anymore soldiers die in Iraq?

Chuck Norris?

2007-10-23 4:31:21 PM
Agreed. He is an idiot for apologizing. Only encourages other politicians to be indignant rather than talk about issues.

2007-10-23 4:32:05 PM
They are dying in a war no one wants so the president doesn't have to admit he made a mistake. I think the wrong guy is apologizing here.

2007-10-23 4:34:04 PM
Bush thinks that when people get killed in war, they're back next week for the next episode.

You disappoint me fark.

We should demand zero tolerance and screw up the rest of his life by throwing the book at him.......that's what they do to our kids......

What he said was bad enough to make a public apology. It was also bad enough to get the Speaker to comment:

"What Congresman Stark said during the debate was inappropriate and distracted from the seriousness of the subject at hand - providing health care for America's children," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said.

Why are you defending this?

Because he was correct is his accusation?

That wasnt an apology to Bush so much as a big FARK YOU to the democrats who made him do it.

That whole thing reminded me of the Sopranos.

How many times have Democrats been accused of liking it when soldiers die? Too many times, thats for damn sure.

The hypocracy is disgusting.

Because you say so? No, you're going to have to prove that one.

He never said what you're suggesting he said.

I'm just applying the Rush Limbaugh "he didn't say it" standard to this guy.

Dude, you are a long gone %27. I can prove nothing to you as facts themselves are incapable of infiltrating your blind Bush loyalty. I guess I could mention the fun-time media function when Bush joked extensively about the missing WMD's? While kids died because of it? Want a video link?

Gawd.

The Democrats are such pussies.

We need to learn our lesson: put faith in a Democrat, be let down.

Ron Paul may not have the best opinion about separation of church and state, but he's the only real alternative to the neocon agenda. And yes, I know he's a longshot, but at least he's not a spineless, worthless lying Democrat. A 5% chance of a Ron Paul presidency is more valuable than the near-certainty of a Hillary presidency.

2007-10-23 5:02:24 PM
What a dillweed.

It's ok to insult the president in this country. That's why it's the US of A. Instead of apologizing he should have gone to the floor and told the house to STFU and GBTW, quit wasting time on bullshiat censure resolutions. The president is man enough to defend himself. He doesn't (or shouldn't) need all his friends in the house to run around trying to defend him.

Bush is a pompus privileged assmunch. He "supported" the war in NAM but wouldn't put his own ass on the line (just like Dick "5 deferments" Cheney). And he did make jokes about not finding WMDs, the mission for which all of these fine Americans (better Americans than him!) supposedly died for (nope no wmds! Ha Ha jokes on you jar head!) I like it when people have the balls (or ovaries!) to call it like they see it. But if you're going to be a man, you can't wimp out half way through. This is just pathetic, and it makes patriotic democrats that supported him look like jackasses.

2007-10-23 5:03:04 PM
they must have something on him

Funny, you assume all Democrats are the same, but assume that one Republican can be different than the rest.

I think you are exposing a bias here.
