He's been on the bestseller lists since...when did Gutenberg develop the printing press? ;)

I've read his book, and I'm an atheist. Having said that, it's really not that good, merely ok.

He is a good writer. I wish I could write that well with a BAC of .20

I just finished reading his latest Vanity Fair article.

Every time I read an article about Iraq by Christopher Hitchens, my perspective on the war changes. I go from simply being disgusted with our president and his criminal co-conspirators to hopeful and believing that despite all its many flaws and the mockingly blatant lies that got us there, this is right. If you have fifteen minutes, please read this fantastic and sad article about an amazing American soldier:

Don't forget the almighty Christofascists.

The Hitch is making money exposing stupidity. It is beautiful.

I;m happy Joshua Ferris was nominated; And Now We Come To The End was a great read and one of the better office novels I've ever come across. And it's his first novel, too!

Thanks to that book, my wife's friend talks to me much less about her Church and her faith now. I didn't intentionally leave it out for her to see, but it worked out nicely. It's a good book, to boot. I don't know if it's book award good, but it's good.

He is strong! If I die, I have to go before him, and he will ask me, "What is the riddle of steel?" If I don't know it, he will cast me out of Valhalla and laugh at me. That's Crom, strong on his mountain!

He's like Krytonite to stupid. His books are next to my Vonnegut and Hunter S Thompson collections. Whenever I start feeling all smarmy smart I just grab something off that shelf and humble myself.

Not being easily manipulated, I'm just curious: is the sunlight shining out from behind a cloud some kind of evidence of something or just a pretty picture and you think beautiful nature = god?

Very cloying.

Come on, the guy IS a brilliant writer. I think he deserves the award. No one can find a kernel of truth in an unpopular or minority position and trot it out in such a grand fashion as Hitchens.

I read Richard Dawkins recent Atheist book and thought it was meh.

I'd like to try Hitchens'. While he is indeed blunt and brash, he makes sense.

I thought Dawkins did it better.

Hitch, like most authors and pundits has occasional moments of absolute brilliance. I may not agree with him most of the time, but his eloquence and stage presence are undeniable.

Anyone watch his 'debate' with Sharpton?
