/oh yeah, boobies.

He's absolutely right. Money is a material article that means nothing to the well being of a person. You can't take it with you, so it's better to accumulate spiritual wealth.

Unless you want to eat, have a home or run for public office, or something. Because then it's pretty farking crucial.

I really don't understand how he was able to go toe-to-toe with Bush in 2000, and now he suddenly can't marshall the effort and resources to seriously challenge the current field of numbskulls that are running for the GOP ticket.

It might be what he did in the intervening eight years. Me, I'd go with the abomination called McCain Feingold. But you can pick your own.

Probably the way he rolled over, exposed his belly, and licked Bush's hand after Bush and Rove set their smear machine loose on him and trashed everything about him.

MasterThief & SchlingFo: And he's just not that sharp anymore. His insistence on running reminds me of a senile elderly person insisting they can still drive.

Because from the very moment he dropped out of the race he has been nothing but an utter and complete whore for the Bush administration and he has demonstrated to the entire universe that he has absolutely no credibily whatsoever. In short, he is nothing more than a shell of a human being, with no principles.

But other than that, I don't understand either.

In addition to what the above posters have said, his adamant, pro-Iraq war position at a time when more and more Americans are sick of it and want us out hasn't helped.

If Hillary wins the Dems nominee, I fully expect Obama to be in this exact situation in 2016. It's the nature of party politics; you stick with your team even if you're not the guy they want for president. More times than not, it comes back to bite you in the ass.

Well considering he only raised 6 million and has around 3 1/2 on hand... yeah, I'd start claiming money was just a number, too.

Hope he can stay in as long as possible, though... he dilutes the hawk vote.

If Hillary wins the Democratic nomination, I don't expect him to be standing on stage with her at the convention like McCain did with Dubya. I'm not saying that he is going to try and sabotage her for the general election, but I doubt it will work out quite the same.

Besides which, Obama is young enough that eight more years won't hurt him the way that it has McCain.

Maybe...maybe not. I'm not sure exactly how their personal relationship is. What I do know is that either one of them will endorse the other when the nomination process is over. Party over principle, always.
