Wow... the Dem's are full of fail!

2007-10-02 2:54:00 PM
First off, Democrats aren't silent about Iran, most of us just don't want to bomb the hell out of the innocent civilians there.

Second, WSJ sucks.

Third, everyone who generalizes about any group is always wrong.

1) Amacrazyguy's not our Commander in Chief.

2) His comment was so stupid and inconceivable it deserved little or no comment.

3) You're allowed to criticize a president and his/her policies without being obligated to mention that yes, some countries have it worse.

I can't wait for the libs to get in here and defend this.

Or labelling the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization while the Pakistani ISS is complicit in hiding and supporting Al Quaeda and bin Laden.

orrinbloquy: Republicans on N. Korea dictator, who actually has nukes: "[crickets chirping]"

"Six-nation talks on North Korea's nuclear program entered a third day yesterday after US President George W. Bush authorized US$25 million in energy aid for the impoverished nation.

"Chief US negotiator Christopher Hill said he expected the morning's talks to centre on fuel aid, while also making a surprise announcement that the talks could wind up in the afternoon, a day ahead of schedule.

"White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe said on Friday Bush had given the go-ahead for US$25 million in fuel aid for 50,000 tonnes of heavy fuel oil.

"The aid was in response to North Korea's progress on reporting and disabling its nuclear facilities as required in a February "Initial Actions" agreement aimed at halting Pyongyang's drive for nuclear weapons, he said.

"The move came after Hill said on Friday that North Korea had agreed to take further steps toward ending its nuclear weapons programs." AFP, BEIJING Sunday, Sep 30, 2007

Evolution of Republican talking points on Ahmadinejad:

OMG! The Libs are giving him a platform to speak unchallenged!
OMG! The Libs were rude to a world leader by challenging him to his face!
OMG! The Libs weren't rude enough to him! He persecutes people that we hate too!

Ok submoron, I'm going to steal the boobies from another failtastick politics thread: "I'll say to you what I say to my six year old. We aren't talking about Iran right now. We're talking about you".

We. Are. Not. In. Iran.

Ok? Should I type slower?

The Democratic Party's presidential hopefuls spent a fair bit of time Wednesday night debating what to do about Iran, without once mentioning Ahmadinejad's peculiar world view.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Ahmadinejad's laughably misguided views on homosexuals have nothing to do with the greater question of America's foreign policy.

So what exactly is your point? That Democrats support the execution of gays? Or that Democrats should be speaking out against their execution? I'd agree with that- but I'd say everyone should be speaking out against their execution. And Iran's persecution of the Bahai faith, and their support for terrorist groups, and what amounts to state-sanctioned anti-semitism, and their execution of political dissidents, and a whole SHIATLOAD of crazy ass shiat the Iranian leadership supports.

So what exactly is your point?

Aye, it is annoying, though, for the top commedian of the country to be the President; and a true tragedy that it is unwitting comedy.
I mean, a few years back (okay, so, like, fifteen or sixteen years ago) when I was learning about all the presidents, I wondered what Warren G. Harding would be like.

This goes to proove, that Murphy's Laws are telepathic. Or, telepathetic, one.

Of course not. But in the context of this thread I didn't want to belabor the point about N. Korea (realizing I had some complicity in it, too). The conversation is about the apparent absence of criticism of Captain Iran for his dumbass assertion.
