This is great! Now, I won't be confused anymore when I vote for the guy with the biggest bankroll.
It's the only way to truly vote American, ya know.

In brightest day and blackest night
No evil shall escape my sight
Let those who worship evil's might
Beware my power; Green Lantern's light

Thanks for the compliment, A_D, I'm sure Barack appreciates it.

Many of my more liberal friends would strongly disagree with you.

Until someone can explain to me how Hillary is any better than a Republican, I'll be over in this blue state, voting for or writting in Obama.

Guess what? I don't *have* to vote for her, media, even if you keep saying that I do.

/Obama 08!

Why on Earth do the democrats think Hillary stands a better chance of defeating a GOP nominee than the rest of the field? I don't see what the advantage is in nominating her

They're as delusionally Pro-Hillary as the right is Anti-Hillary. No one has any real good reason to be for or against her, they just want to score one for their 'team'. It's such BS from both sides.

They don't. In fact they know she's very polarizing. But she'll still beat the GOP nominee, and there's a lot of nostalgia for the old Clinton days.

I just don't see why Hillary is a lock to win. She is a horrible candidate. I think that Biden or Richardson stand a much better chance of beating the GOP candidate.

Meh.
Biden comes off as a prick and Richardson always looks like a slob.

A can of baked beans stands a better chance of beating the GOP candidate.

I think if Hillary gets the nod, she'll need Obama as a VP in order to increase her odds of getting elected. She would gain almost all the Obama supporters as they would want to set him up for a later run in 2016. That would also pull in allot more independants as a Hillary/Obama ticket would be more palatable than a Hillary/Who Dat VP one. They still wouldn't get very many Moderate Republicans (like me) who like Obama as most of them hate Hillary with a passion.

On the flip site however, if Obama gets the nod, I think would be suicide to have Hillary as a running mate. Again most Dems would be behind him, as well as allot of independents, but he also has allot of respect from Moderate Republicans who may be inclined to vote for him should the Republican candidate not be to their liking, but if Hillary is on the ticket they'll take the lesser of two evils and go with the Repub Candidate

Anyway my 2 cents, take it for what its worth.

Hillary might take Edwards as VP, but she won't offer it to Obama and I doubt he'd accept it if she did.

Ace Frehley's Ghost: Hillary might take Edwards as VP, but she won't offer it to Obama and I doubt he'd accept it if she did.

I pretty much agree with you. I don't think either of them would like it at all, but I still thing it's Hillary's best shot. It would definitely be a tossup whether she would offer and whether he would accepts, but it would definitely put him in a better spot for a 2016 run as a former VP.

Edwards is definitely another likely VP candidate.

I am pretty sure that a Clinton/Edwards ticket would cement another four years of Republicans in the White House.

I would rate Hilary's VP Choices like this - best to worst:

1. Wesley Clark
2. Bill Richardson
3. Obama
4. Edwards

And yes, Hilary will be our next president no-matter who she picks out of these four.

Clark is not VP material, strictly presidential.
Richardson is a slob.
Obama is way too classy to be her VP.
Edwards is slimy as the day is long.

I still don't understand how Hillary is leading the polls. I dont have one democrat friend that would chose Hillary over Obama (cept my mom, she thinks he's "inexperienced", just what the clinton campaign wants her to think). Maybe its just the PCT part of me speaking from the back of my mind, but I seriously think the polls are rigged. It just doesn't seem to make sense that someone who raised so much money from individuals would do so bad in polls.

2007-10-02 9:09:24 PM
And I know it IS or WAS possible to rig polls, as Nixon references to it in Robert Dallek's book on him and Kissinger. 'WTF'

I hope they split the vote and it winds up being someone nobody foresaw. I hope it's a double-Dean effect.
