(Some Guy)   Obama supporters show up for parade in Manchester; cause chaos because they refuse to talk with the VFW and instead break most of the local traffic laws. Must be that "Audacity of Hope" stuff   (unionleader.com) divider line

Is Obama behind Malcolm Gladwell, or against him?

Errr...Malcolm Glazer.

Non-story. Criminalization of traffic violations.

FTFA: Meanwhile, parade organizers said Barack Obama supporters at times ignored requests from parade workers.

"There's a lot of things they did that they shouldn't have done," said Barbara Parry, president of the Milford VFW ladies auxiliary. "They came with an attitude."

I'm not really an Obama fan, but in all fairness: Isn't "nearly late" the same thing as "right on time"?

FT comments I know that we hear in Iowa follow the rules and stay where we are told.

HAhaha, Iowa Farkers, go to your rooms, I'll let you know when you can come out.

This is just plain crap. Chaos?

No where in the article does it say anything close to this happening.

Someone is really reaching here.

What sort of retarded world are submitter and other right-wingers living in that THIS is 'chaos,' but Baghdad is just like an Iowa farmer's market?

Afternoon_Delight: "Uh-uhhh... don't you go there. You owes me for slavery!

Funny you should say that, considering that Obama has a very solid stance against reparations.

Do you even think anymore before you post?

FAIL.

Obama was nearly late for an event that I attended. He was supposed to speak at 7:00pm, and he took the stage at 6:59. What loser, making everyone sit there and think "OMG, he's nearly late". No seriously, that's what everyone was saying. I guess it was just the anticipation (and the really, really bad warm up musicians).

Fixed.

FTFA An Obama campaign spokesman said he did not want to engage the VFW on the parade. We appreciate the organizers' hard work in helping the campaign and the more than 200 supporters who marched in the parade,"
...
Just beyond the floats and bands and cars carrying civic leaders came the politicians, including Sens. Chris Dodd and Obama, and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney

Ok, so let me get this straight.

Two republican members of the VFW biatch about Obama supporters, trying to "sneak the candidate in the middle", even though he lines up where he's supposed to, and one of the most conservative newspapers in the country quotes these two people, while Obama's campaign correctly chooses NOT to get in a pissing match with a couple of old people, and subby finds a law violation there?

Subbtard,
if the Manchester Union Leader can't find anything beter that a slighlty disorganized parade, you won't be able to either. Believe me, they're looking.

Not really. If you have ever been in a parade they want people there early so the event heads can organize everybody. If the parade starts at 7, most people should be there at least a bit early.

It's all a lesson in futility. If Obama were by the grace of god elected he would be assassinated if he tried to fulfill half of his campaign promises. You can't take that much power from the ultra rich and expect it to go over without even token resistance.

I still say it's a conspiracy that MS spellcheck turns Obama into Osama.

The LAST thing I want in a president is for his supporters to refuse to get into pointless arguements at parades! (Second-last thing would have to be him being 'nearly late' for such a critical event!)

Can't we just keep George? He's got it ALL down pat.

I'm too lazy and from my time working as 2nd level tech support i can tell you that 99.9% of the populace has no clue how to do that.

The actual definition of a liberal is in fact to listen to different views. That's how progress works. Now the definition of libruls may be different but just so we know your talking about a different group of people.

Prove a law was broken. Go ahead, we'll wait.

So, I asked my mom, who works in city gov. in ManchVegas how this parade went down.

Per Mommy What_Now, "Fine. We had a girl scout who wouldn't stop crying because of the guns going off, but other that that, it went smoothly. When are you coming to visit"

I dunno. I'll email her and ask. She'll probably respond with a picture of her garden though.

If they are Democrats, he doesn't stand a chance, even if all the Republicans voted for him too. Registered Repiblicrats are the minority.

That doesn't make sense. How could you learn anything without dissenting opinions? The people you seem to be talking about can hardly be called liberals. That's like saying "tough guys are pussies" or "madmen are level headed". A spade is a spade, don't call it a rake.

2007-09-06 3:13:14 PM
Of course, the liexaggeration will only pick up force, so this time next Tuesday all the web sites and talking head shows will be talking about Obama sneering at cops and walking in front of moving cars in rural America. And punching kittens.
