It's from an old episode of WKRP in Cincinnati.
"As god is my witness, Travis...I thought turkeys could fly!"

This is like you being the skinny guy and watching your big friend kick some guys arse, then running in when the fight is way over and kicking the guy on the ground.

2007-07-18 4:12:14 PM
Nice... all that's left is for Syria or Saudi Arabia to start some sh*t and we'll be well on our way to World War 3.

2007-07-18 4:12:14 PM
"The Iraqi government regrets the Turkish military operations of artillery and warplanes bombing against border cities and towns," al-Dabbagh said.

That's politician speak for, "We aren't able to do a damn thing in the world to protect our nation from foreign attackers."

I said it in the thread about the Turkish troop buildup, and I'll say it again here:

Inevitable, and predictable from the outset, just like everything else that's happened in this retarded war.

Turkey has an Air Force?

This is an accident between US/Turkish forces just waiting to happen. Given the recent oil deal between Iran and Turkey, I wonder if Turkey is starting to rethink its NATO/EU ambitions in the face of regional collapse.

2007-07-18 4:13:10 PM
Just when we were establishing stability in the region!

Oh, wait, nevermind.

2007-07-18 4:13:12 PM

Insurgents hate Turkey too? Well that makes me feel better that we're not the ONLY ones they hate...
