Surprisingly, enemies of fundamentalism aren't going to team up with fundies to fight fundies. Your religion is purely evangelical. No atheist youth army for you, not yours.

you buried the lede, submitter. this is the real craziness:

"On comparing Sept. 11 to the burning of the Reichstag building in Nazi Germany: "It's almost like the Reichstag fire, kind of reminds me of that. After the Reichstag was burned, they blamed the Communists for it and it put the leader of that country [Hitler] in a position where he could basically have authority to do whatever he wanted. The fact is that I'm not saying [Sept. 11] was a [U.S.] plan, or anything like that because, you know, that's how they put you in the nut-ball box -- dismiss you."

Wow, really? Then they aren't very good Muslims, considering the second Sura, ayat 2-7, kicks off the Qur'an with some good old fashioned damnation for non-believers.

This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah. Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them; And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter. They are on (true) guidance, from their Lord, and it is these who will prosper. As to those who reject Faith, it is the same to them whether thou warn them or do not warn them; they will not believe. Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur).

Oh well, at least I know I'm only an atheist because the god of Abraham put a curse on me.

Fark off, bigots. As we can all see from so many examples from all around the world, Muslim nations have nothing but the highest respect for those who believe differently.

Sure, if by "support their right to be atheists" you mean "execute them for apostasy" in some Muslim countries.

Yeah, believe it or not, Muslims are just like Christians. Are you suddenly an advocate of fundamentalism?

Thanks for supporting my inalienable rights. Now if both of you can keep the calls-to-prayer and church bells quieter in the morning, I'll be able to sleep off my hangovers much better.

If not following every word in your chosen holy book verbatim makes you "not a very good [person of religion]" then there a whole shiatload of piss-poor Jews and Christians running around, as well as Muslims.

No no, they mean "support their right to be atheists" by giving them a chance to convert!

They're both wrong, and they won't be happy until they join the mormon church.

I can't tell if you are just trolling or not, but *shockingly* not all Muslims follow a fundamental version of Islam.

Islam is probably the most lenient of the Abrahemic religions as far as heaven goes. Most Muslims believe that you go to heaven as long as you believe in the Abrahemic God and live a good life. In Christianity it's pretty much purely "say Jesus is God or go to hell" and Judaism says gentiles aren't really human so they never had a chance anyway. I know Judaism doesn't really believe in the whole "fiery eternal hell" concept and I'm not quite sure where Islam's stance on that is, but if I remember correctly it's reserved for people who know God and intentionally turn against him or something along those lines. Christianity probably has the most widespread eternal damnation (well technically Judaism would, but according to that gentiles just die and that's it) but Atheists are pretty much screwed all the way around. I guess that's why it's good to have people in government that can separate impartial secular law from their own personal beliefs.

You get to invoke the "interpretation" rule if your book's instructions inconvenience you too much.

Not to mention hell. Its only temporary, like prison. You serve your time and then go to heaven.

How can you trust a man who is afraid that god will punish him if he lets you go on not believing in god?

Last time I checked, the fundie Islamics ramrodding all this bloodshed wanted strict interpretations of the Quran and sharia law. This means either you are muslim or a slave. Atheists would make good slaves because they have no 'higher power' to pin hope of deliverance on. And, most atheists will believe this idiot. Go for it.

First of all, hes talking about american muslims, not muslims in other countries, so for the most part he is right.

Everyone thinks muslims are crazy, but imagine a country where christianity is in control. And not america, i mean a country where the goverment is the church with no legal restrictions. I think it would be worse.

Wow, really? Then they aren't very good Muslims...

It disturbs me when members of a religion tell other members of that religion that they aren't good members unless they're follow strict, uncompromising dogma and fundamentalist, literal interpretations of scripture.
When people who don't even share their beliefs say it, it just makes me want to vomit.

Or maybe it's the cheep beer.

A beautiful hallmark of Atheism, as opposed to many religions, as that they generally don't care what people think.
