This proves that there is a God and that evolution is wrong and that homosexuals are the devil's spawn and that marijuana is the devil's oregano.
2002-09-05 08:35:14 AM
So God is working for the DEA now?
WTF is the world coming to?
2002-09-05 09:04:11 AM
Yeah God is so sorry he created that plant.

He's going to flood all the poppy fields soon too.

Exposing the leafy goodness

2002-09-05 02:12:34 PM

2002-09-05 02:13:14 PM
So he was growing them indoors. Much lower quality than when grown properly, from what I remember anyway. Its been awhile.
2002-09-05 02:13:28 PM
I better put up that lighting rod I got for Christmas

*puff* *puff* *cough*

The Lord works in mysterious ways.
2002-09-05 02:16:16 PM
C'mon Canada! pass that legislation, baby!
2002-09-05 02:16:21 PM

2002-09-05 02:17:36 PM

or so I have heard (g).
2002-09-05 02:19:14 PM
This proves God likes pot. The pot didn't get hit now, did it?
2002-09-05 02:20:25 PM
Swiney: Bwwaaaaa... ;)
2002-09-05 02:20:34 PM
"Did you see what god just did to our cocaine?!?"
2002-09-05 02:20:50 PM
Likely the lightning started a bit of a fire..

I suspect God just wanted a hit off some of that doobage..
2002-09-05 02:22:19 PM
Poor guy, and just when the market for
restoring furiture was beginning to turn around.
2002-09-05 02:23:44 PM
I just wanted to say that I'm enjoying all the weed stories today. Keep up the good work!

Spark it up.
2002-09-05 02:26:50 PM
....Those thunder & lightning storms were some of the most intense I have ever seen/heard here in Connecticut. They literally kept everyone I work with awake from 4:00 am to 6:00 am that morning.

....and yes "middlesex court" - ...its in "middlesex" county.

Note to the "God hates MJ - so he sent lightning" posters -
a) lightning didnt actually destroy any of plants
b) the laws of man were enforced - not the laws of God - God never spoke out against MJ - and as an "omnipitent God" you think he would have made this clear in the beginning if it was his intention.
c) what god? ...I've never seen proof of such - just a bunch of crazy religeous wacko's interpreting a 2000 year old fairy tale to fit their perspective on life.

Slightly off topic:

I used to live in Chicago and had a buddy who worked for the Sheriffs department. Whenever he came back from a seized property burn (read: confiscated drugs) he always had the goofiest grin.

I think it had something to do with all the cops standing down wind.

/i got nuthin'
2002-09-05 02:32:02 PM
I betcha this guy would have rather had his fingers cut off by a helicopter than have the finger of God light up his stash .
2002-09-05 02:39:58 PM
I like how the guy isn't even concerned about the pot found, he's responding with "Have no idea about that". Classic.
2002-09-05 02:43:53 PM
Zeus is up on Olympus laughing his ass off/getting the munchies.
2002-09-05 02:46:40 PM
On an unrelated note, there's been 3 church buildings here in Atlanta burned down by lightning this summer.
2002-09-05 03:03:37 PM
In other news, a bunch of Cromwell fire fighters have repoted having a 'severe case of the munchies'.
2002-09-05 03:17:25 PM
He had no comment about the marijuana charges.

Two words. Personal consumption. Can't hurt to try.

"Yeah- stoner bashing time!"
2002-09-05 03:23:26 PM
Agreed, wgb423...I was up from 4 AM yesterday; still thunder and lightning at 7 AM when I was dropping the kid off in Cromwell...I live in Portland, and that fire was literally a mile away from me...yet I didn't get to feel the effects...
2002-09-05 03:35:56 PM
The best line was:

Police also said they retrieved growing lamps and other drug paraphernalia.

I guess growing lamps are drug "paraphernalia" now. You stoner old gardener ladies better watch out!
2002-09-05 04:10:47 PM
Poor Guy. Those plants would have come in handy for him in the weeks ahead.
2002-09-05 04:42:41 PM
No, Bud Light.

*runs for cover
2002-09-05 05:01:21 PM
Yeah, that was one crazy storm.
2002-09-05 05:54:56 PM
LegmanYou do not remember properly. Or perhaps times have changed.
2002-09-05 06:23:41 PM
Well, maybe I stand corrected, but I seriously doubt it. No substitute for real sunshine, rain, bugs, etc. I also remember a friend who had an indoor garden here in Florida but stopped when the local utility company announced they were monitoring electricity usage. Those lamps really fire up your electricity bill.
2002-09-05 08:15:52 PM
Fair enough. But read a little about hydroponics.
The wickedest product I've ever seen grows not only with artificial sunlight, but doesn't even use soil, just some super duper steroid sort of nutrient liquid. And bless those folks that have cultivated the most amazing mutant strains.
And the price it demands certainly reflects it...
2002-09-05 11:03:11 PM
It's so obvious, people: God hates furniture restoration. That is the part 'he' destroyed. Isn't it? I guess it insults the grandeur of the tradesman's original creation, and violates the second law of thermodynamics.
2002-09-05 11:27:30 PM
With 500 watts, you're flying under their radar...
2002-09-06 12:20:34 AM

i'm with you.

though artificial has trumped au natural in the market since its emergence, give me some genuine old time acupulco gold or some killer columbian red anytime over the flashy modern skunks
2002-09-06 03:32:58 AM
I was stoned in church once, it wasnt so bad, nothing bad happened to me. I even smoked before my buddies wedding, very nice. The place gives you a nice relaxed, spiritual feeling. Or maybe that was just the nugs.

Usually (not always) I'll try to remember to comment on an entry after it goes live, because I don't want to clutter the thread. After it goes live, comments are fair game, IMO.

Thanks for understanding... The mods really left me hanging on that one. They took out all the comments except mine and made me look like a bigger ass than I already am.
