Jeebus! What is it with these strength and conditioning coaches?! Do they lose their minds once they start working out? Here's an article from ESPN today:

Vikings assistant suspended as Olympic bobsledder

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- U.S. Olympic bobsledder John Kasper, who also is an assistant coach with the NFL's Minnesota Vikings, has been suspended from the sport for two years after failing a drug test, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency said Monday.

Kasper tested positive for the anabolic steroid methandienone during an out-of-competition test in Lake Placid, N.Y. on March 8.

Kasper's suspension lasts two years from that date, the maximum punishment under International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation rules.

Kasper is also the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Vikings. The team said on its Web site he had been given two years off to pursue to pursue a medal in 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

Kasper, 33, races two- and four-man bobsleds and was on the U.S. Olympic team in 1998, when he finished 12th in the two-man event at Nagano, Japan.

Blood duping, steroids, etc. Not sure about blood duping, but steroids can really fark you up. Maybe thats why they use em. Anyone know any side effects of taking out blood, putting it in cold storage, then after your body has re-built the cells, re-injecting it?

It would be funny if someone looked this guy up in the phonebook and made some calls, then they posted the MP3s somewhere and let us all listen. I'd do it, but I'm not funny.

Actually, I had my cable shut off early in the spring because I don't watch television except for football. I read on average 3 books a week, mostly non-fiction. I also have about 20 books a week checked out from different libraries for historical research on a book I am writing. Last week I read "Stalingrad" by Antony Beevor, "Sherman" by Lee Kennett, and "The Lost World" by Michael Crichton. Tonight I hope to finish "The Last Apocoalypse, Europe at the Year 1000 A.D." by James Reston, Jr. On top of this I have several software books I am working through such as Java, Oracle PL/SQL, Macromedia Flash 5, Unix, and HTML. What have you read lately?

I have just finished "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand and am about to start "Cats Cradle" by Vonnegut. I am reading through two Linux books, "Linux", "Understanding the Linux Kernel". I am also reviewing my Mindshare PCI Architecture and AGP Architecture books for work and hoping to start "The Undocumented PC" for a refresher. Ill admit you got me beat on the nonfiction but your still an asshole.
