FTFA: "Basically, it was the only thing I could think of," she said.

Um, "I'm getting married" was out of the question?
2007-06-08 02:32:32 PM
Wait, so this was easier than calling the guy and just telling him you don't want to go to dinner?
2007-06-08 02:32:45 PM
Batshiat runaway bride thread!!
2007-06-08 02:32:54 PM
Yes we need pics STAT!
2007-06-08 02:33:04 PM
The only person more stupid? Her asshat fiance.
2007-06-08 02:33:31 PM
did the runaway bride ever have to pay the county/state for the police services she caused?
2007-06-08 02:34:04 PM
Her fiance might as well start a bail fund now.

Or, maybe not.
2007-06-08 02:34:35 PM
Engagement still on! Good luch with that.

When asked to describe her fiance, White said he lives in a white house with green trim.
2007-06-08 02:35:23 PM
Wait a mnute, was she engaged to someone and make a date online with another person? Or was she engaged to her online Romeo?

/article make head hurt
2007-06-08 02:35:48 PM
ceremony_1968 - LOL! You beat me to it.
2007-06-08 02:35:52 PM

Local 6 has a photo of her in their article about the case.

[image from too old to be available]

I'd hit it...with a 2 x 4.
2007-06-08 02:35:55 PM
Beat me by a couple of seconds, here was my headline

One sure sign that your date is going very well is if she pretends to be kidnapped half way through. I guess a BJ is out of the question then
2007-06-08 02:36:04 PM
I have a friend who I would not put this past...when I worked for her I had to constantly break dates/keep up with the lies, etc. It was a biatch...

Recently I saw somebody post a picture of a ticket stub that said something along the lines of "admit one: hell" could somebody post that for me please
/would appreciate it
2007-06-08 02:38:02 PM
claims she'll still be married by next April

... And divorced by October.
2007-06-08 02:38:37 PM
I hope this guy has realized what a gift she gave him: the knowledge that marrying this chick would be an extrordinarily bad idea.
2007-06-08 02:39:10 PM
Wow. That's extreme. Couldn't she have just said, "I like you, Mr. Phone Chat, but not in THAT way"? Or how about, "It's not you, it's me"?

And how ugly/desperate/whipped is her fiance for not dumping her ass on the spot for nearly cheating on him??

I came here to post a headline too, but the one that went green is far better than mine.
2007-06-08 02:40:21 PM

conniemac: Local 6 has a photo of her in their article about the case.

The husband-to-be likes his women plain.
2007-06-08 02:40:45 PM
Damn, and to think that this trick usually works as a way to ditch a date.
2007-06-08 02:43:11 PM
Sara White, 20

She's 20? Her pic makes her look much older. ick.
2007-06-08 02:43:59 PM
It would have been better to just kill the guy and run his body through a wood-chipper.
2007-06-08 02:43:59 PM
conniemac: Local 6 has a photo of her in their article about the case.

Wow. I was going to say, if he's still willing to marry her, she must be bangin'.

Guess she's rich instead.
2007-06-08 02:44:22 PM
"Basically, it was the only thing I could think of," she said. about, "I don't want to go on a date with you."
2007-06-08 02:47:15 PM
He's going to still marry her after she was making dates with guys online?

2007-06-08 02:48:56 PM
So, tell me more about this "Homosexuality". It's starting to seem like a very good idea.
2007-06-08 02:54:14 PM
Instead of calling in sick to work, she probably just sets the office on fire.

/Only thing I can think of

Are all women batshiat crazy sociopaths, or just the one with vaginas?

LondonerDan: The husband-to-be likes his women plain.

As opposed to battered?
2007-06-08 03:05:31 PM
I don't need to read any further than where it says that she's 20. No offence to some people who actually got married young and made it work, but they are the exception to the rule. If she is married by next April, I don't give the marraige more than 3 years.

Fark U: Just don't get married. Marraige is not evil. Some people are f'ed up, and marry the wrong person, or are the wrong person themselves. My hubby and I celebrated 10 years yesterday. I know that is a drop in the bucket compared to his folks (50+) and Mine(45+), but it's off to a great start. We actually enjoy being together. Neither one of us feels like we're missing out on the great single life. Some people are cut out for marraige, some aren't.
2007-06-08 03:16:18 PM

I agree with you. This kid is too young to get hitched, and obviously doesn't have enough common sense and judgment to tie a shoelace, let alone enter into a marriage.

I got married young. It didn't take. If I ever do it again, it's definitely with a much clearer idea of who I am and what I want, and what's realistic. Marriage may not be for everyone, but for those who understand that it takes work and isn't perfect, it can be pretty farkin' good!

This chick is a train wreck. She needs to grow the hell up...
2007-06-08 03:18:25 PM
This chick is stupid/nuts?

To quote Colonel James from Boogie Nights....

"You think so doctor? Is that your expert opinion?"
2007-06-08 03:33:56 PM
My little story in regards to "it was the only thing i could think of" though totally unrelated...

On vacation with my parents a few years ago and they don't know that I am a smoker. After a long flight and drive to the hotel, I'm craving a cigarette. I get into my room go into the bathroom and spark one up. My dad, who apparently kept a key to my room, open the room door and walked right on in. I'm still in the bathroom, so, doing the most sensible thing I could think of, I stripped down to my boxers before opening the door, smoke pouring out, to ask "Whats up?"

/was the best thing i could think of.
2007-06-08 03:34:18 PM

You're right. Perfectly normal people stage abductions to get out of non-obligatory online dates all the time. How could we be so dense?
2007-06-08 03:50:41 PM

Are all women batshiat crazy sociopaths, or just the one with vaginas?

Yup. Sucks, doesn't it? :/
2007-06-08 03:52:19 PM
Did she call the guy and say "Sorry, can't make our date because I'm currently being held against my will by a crazed madman."? If she really couldn't bear to call the guy and cancel, why just not show up, and then tell him she'd been abudcted and that's why she didn't show if he called?
2007-06-08 04:12:54 PM
and she plans to get married in April

I'm not a psychologist or a marriage counselor, or anything like that, but I'm guessing that it's going to a very bumpy (and probably very short) marriage -- if it occurs at all.
