And the nuts are going to charity as well. What's not to like?

From experience:

We saved Roswell once by mailing millions of Tabasco bottles to the WB and it saved the show. THE WORST DECISION EVER. The producers went nutball and next two seasons and made it into a shiat fest because they thought it meant the fans loved THEM and they would so all sorts of things to the story line.

Just don't do it people.

Can someone please fix that headline??

The show was....meh - it was okay but not great - but a second season would not be a bad thing. CBS screwed up with the scheduling - the long break in the middle of the show then up against American Idol was not good scheduling.
Fire the schedulers for the network and hire a drunk monkey - they could do better.

TV has to compete with DVD rentals and downloads - they need to go to the no-repeat format like 24 (and I hear lost for next season)

Yeah, I'd say that the middle episodes we absolutely awful, but the last four episodes were as good as some of the best episodes of BSG.

They did kill off Mayor Dad, though. I wasn't looking forward as much to a second season without him.

I would let CBS know what I thought of this show, but I am pretty sure shipping vomit is illegal.

1 of 2 scenarios:

1. CBS caves, the show either jumps the shark or people go back to sort of watching it some of the time, and it gets cancelled due to poor ratings after season 2

2. More likely, CBS ignores people, the show doesn't come back, in 3 months people are saying "i saw that show once and it was pretty good." In 3 years, people look at you funny if you mention it and you can only find references to it on tripod sites run by people who need more sunshine.

farkers cancelled the only show (literally) i actually watch on TV besides cartoons.

I'm watching Arrested Development on TV right now.
That should still be on with new episodes.

It wouldn't be so bad if they weren't replacing the show with some horrible crap.

What a shock that a thread about canceled TV shows would invoke an Arrested Development goon.

My suggestion is to abandon network programming. Send a letter that you're eschewing their formula for suck and buying dvd series of quality british or cable programming instead. I watch almost exclusively bbc and hbo style programming now. There's tons of it, and it's utterly superior to the crap from the networks.

Just finished the miniseries Bleak House. Thinking about watching a few Messiah, Hustle, Entourage, The Tudors, Regenesis, Peepshow, Wire in the Blood, Hotel Babylon, Life on Mars, Spooks, Sleeper Cell, Rescue Me, The Shield, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Spaced etc.. nearly ad infinitum.

You can make yourself sick on premium programming and screw the network marketers looking to convert you all to reality show vidiots.

Jericho was the first network series I've watched in years if not decades. Usually its the shield, rescue me, daily/colbert, adult swim and my massive dvd collection. leave it to cbs to fark me over as soon as I get into it. THX NINA!

/hope you like nuts...

simpsonfan, I read that book in high school. And, while I've never seen Jericho (I honestly don't own a tv at the moment, and haven't for nearly a year), I thought the show was based on the book. The plot line sounded similar: Nuke went off, small town in Florida surviving.

Huh. I think I'll just re read the book while eating nuts instead.

Am I the only one getting suspicious that this was planned publicity? Actually, on second thought, CBS could never be that smart.

If you don't feel like digging through the CBS message boards (which are horrible) Jericho Rally Point is an great message board with loads of information.

/Someone needs to tell CBS to get a better message board software system
//And better mods
///And more bandwith

I am a fan or should I say I was a fan of the show, but no way in hell will I have give money to big studio's or give them any damn thing from me to support them putting a show I like/liked back on the air. I am now searching for new show but its all mostly crap.. case in point I found myself watching spanish TV. I dont know spanish but it was 50 times more interesting then half the crap on regular american TV.

Gwendolyn: We saved Roswell once by mailing millions of Tabasco bottles to the WB and it saved the show.

I was there for that. That message board is where I picked up my screen name. I use it about everywhere now.

"No mayo and extra pepperjack!"

I hope the Jerichoans don't get so whiny and full of
themselves as those Browncoats......

Why does EVERY crappy SF show (even not so SF shows)
automatically attract a coterie of whackadoos who
think its the best thing evar? I mean: I'm sure
there are people out there who still hope that they
bring back SUPERFORCE, ferchrissakes.

/Or even NIGHTMAN

2007-05-31 4:22:08 PM
who cares? the show bites

2007-06-01 6:00:18 PM
Most likely scenario is that Jericho comes back as either a mid-season replacement (or sooner with all the new reality shows CBS is glutting the airwaves with) or they sell it to another network.

Either way, the people involved in this fight (myself included), you can be SURE we will be mailing letters EVERY week - the day after the show AIRS - to let CBS know that we watched it!

. . . and maybe . . . other people would start doing the same for the shows THEY like. Now . . . doesn't THAT put more control into the viewers' hands?
