Sure seems hotter this year, but then again I've experienced much hotter years than this.

Forecast for tonight: dark. Continuing dark, with increasing light near morning.

It gets hotter in the summer because of the increase in CO2 outputs of humans during the summer months. You know - increased electricity to run air conditioners, people going on vacation.

It gets cold in the winter because people get tired and go home for a while.

/makes roughly the same amount of sense.
