Gladly I will be dead before 2080.

...or the "Future" will suddenly shape up and I can live longer so I can sit on my porch looking over my digital green lawn from those dang kids with their hoverbikes and holographic baseballs....

It gets hotter in the summer because of the increase in CO2 outputs of humans during the summer months. You know - increased electricity to run air conditioners, people going on vacation.

It gets cold in the winter because people get tired and go home for a while.

/makes roughly the same amount of sense.
