MIKE KENEALLY!!!

Sure, he's only singing on this and the audio sucks, but he still owns. Check out the G3 clips where he's playing all the harmonies with Steve. I recommend The Attitude Song for starters.

Now, since Onkel Buck brought up Dweezil, I'm going to listen to the Confessions CD on my way to work. :)

I thought this was gonna be the Guitar hero vid posted on TF yesterday afternoon.

It wasn't and I was amazed by Eric Johnson's solo. Few if any do it better.

Sent to my brother, and one of my best friends. Wow, just wow.

Zappa and all around him still shred above anyone else.

I prefer Dweezil's version of this. It's a bit more rockin'. That and Steve Smith on drums is never a bad thing.

Oh yeah. It's one of my faves of all time, for sure.

I remember when we had the whole scene full of shred-heads, any time one showed up at the music store to try out a half-stack, we'd all just start cheering and screaming "More Notes!!" until they screwed up. :)

I like the vid in which Vai talks about his audition for Zappa. Which is actually a commercial for Berklee School of Music.
Vai (pops)

Is there a Berklee connection with you Berklee?

Just a nomination to go. It's a nickname that stuck after high school. It fell through because of funding problems (couldn't get enough from the Canadian government to cross the border for school).
