On the other hand, once you get the Heimer's it's a hell of a lot easier to plan your own surprise parties.

Can't they just forgive and forget?

I'd put odds on one of those outcomes.
/it's not forgive

How can he do his job if he gets Alzheimer's? His career is based on remembering facts to discuss w/ his guests.

What's next? Getting pissed at a surgeon for quitting if he develops Parkinson's?

RUN LARRY, The Imus crowd just put you on their list!!!111eleventy!

So what if he retired? He'd be back in the studio the next day.

cameraman: "Mr. King, what are you doing here?"
King: "What do you mean, this is where I work."
C: "You retired yesterday."
K: "I did?"

2007-04-13 4:11:28 PM
Can't he just retire anyway...?

Please!!

/so grossed out by Larry King
//especially since the uncontrollable, poisonous and constant farting rumours

CBS and PMSNBC just cancelled Larry King.

2007-04-13 4:14:18 PM
He doesn't have Alzheimers already? That just blew my world.

On the other hand... it would make for a more entertaining show.

Larry: And know we're here with... who are you?

Latest Asinine Celebretard: Um... OMG! I'm famous?

Larry: For what? Who keeps booking me these nobodies? Why can't I get some one like Elizabeth Taylor?

OK. Well, my cue card says you are embroiled in controversy for your comments on the President. Tell me. what prompted you to speak out about President Reagan's policies?

To Alzheimer's Advocates:

If Larry King gets it and wants to quit, it is his choice. It doesn't matter if you say it makes all people with Alzheimer's look bad, because it doesn't. It just means that he would like to spend the rest of his life with his family and friends, not you or television executives. STFU.

2007-04-13 4:18:40 PM
Who actually watches Larry King besides people who have alzheimers themselves? Would anyone even notice?

2007-04-13 4:19:03 PM
Alzheimer's association president temporarily upset with Larry King for saying he would retire if he developed Alzheimer's.

Fixed that for you.

What the hell else would he do if he developed Alzheimer's? Blink and stare blankly into space and soil himself for an hour straight, constantly asking "Is it bedtime?" If we wanted that, we could just put a camera in the Oval Office. America is rapidly turning into a bunch of whimpering, glassy-eyed pansies.

LOL.

In related news, the president of the Alzheimer's Association is upset with Larry King.

And coming up after this commercial break: The president of the Alzheimer's Association is upset with Larry King.

I was thinking "forget and forget" would be a better headline.

about what I don't know however.

/there's something you can buy to help with memory, but I can't think of what it is...

2007-04-13 4:31:38 PM
I think this is.....wait, forgot what I was going to say.

2007-04-13 4:34:43 PM
seventypercent: "
America is rapidly turning into a bunch of whimpering, glassy-eyed pansies."

There's an assumption in that statement I'm not prepared to accept.

Tsk, all Alzheimer's patients should be immediately euthanized. Once infected with that disease, they no longer have anything to contribute to society.

He said what?

I think the problem is they forgot to forgive.

bobbette: OK. Well, my cue card says you are embroiled in controversy for your comments on the President. Tell me. what prompted you to speak out about President Reagan's policies?

Now this made me giggle.

Larry should have retired about...well, back in the Triassic Period, I think.

2007-04-13 5:30:19 PM
Why would he not quit? I'm sure the first thing he would want to do is to let the world slowly watch him deteriorate so when he finally died people would remember him drooling into his coffee cup as opposed to the long career he's had.

People will whine about anything these days.

2007-04-13 5:55:15 PM
The good thing about Alzheimer's is you get to meet new people every day.

/well, at least i don't have cancer

The fear of ending up like Bob Hope is why Johnny Carson retired when he did. Was there anything sadder than wheeling out that one great comedian to receive honors he could not comprehend? Where was I? And what are those kids doing on my lawn?

/Of all the things I have lost
//erm, what was the rest?

If you're unable to function due to memory loss, then you're unable to function due to memory loss. That's just the way things are.
