Where to start?

Its about time the pigs have to answer for their actions. Although an intresting question is who is making these reports other cops? If that's the case it makes you wonder how much police brutality or using excessive force is really going on.

I'm afraid to post anything negative, because I might get shot and NOT become a statistic...

This may be cynical and typical, but I feel it needs to be said.

Is anyone keeping track of how many doughnuts police officers are eating either?

Class War used to have a monthly "Page 3 Dead Copper", though.

The Camden case involved a mentally disturbed man who, during the course of a long confrontation with the police, pulled from his pocket a talcum powder bottle wrapped in a sock. Eleven officers, some as far as 280 feet away, responded by firing at least 106 shots at him. The media coverage of this killing consisted of one small newspaper story. There was no discipline, no criminal trial, no outrage.

Instead of knocking on the cops we should be thankfull of their efforts to thin the heard.

Last week here in Denver an unarmed purse snatcher was shot 40 some times by 7 police officers when he rammed his car into a police cruiser while trying to escape. The police reported that this was standard procedure and they did not think it was at all excessive.
2001-07-09 12:29:40 PM
Holy shiat! It should be standard operating procedure to shoot ANYONE who runs from a cop. If you don't want to be shot, its simple. Don't run, generally, don't do things that will piss cops off. Or even more generally, don't do the crime if you can't face the punishment.

I agree that if you snatch a purse, and then ram a cop car in the process of trying to get away you deserve the consequence of getting shot or at the very least beaten up. I would not have had as much a problem with this if the cops shot this unarmed man once or twice and killed him (in their own defense after him ramming their cars). But these pussy ass cops all ganged up on him and repeatedly shot him up into swiss cheese after he was already dead. Cop after cop took turns filling him full of lead because they were trigger happy.

Where I live there is always a cop killing someone or a cop being killed. It's sad but I rather a cop shoot a criminal to help thin out all the criminal we have.
2001-07-09 02:20:09 PM
Some cops have that"I'm GOD with a badge mentality."
2001-07-09 02:25:13 PM
I don't think the cops took turns filling him full of lead. My guess would be that they fired there rounds at the same time. 40 / 7 is roughly 6 per cop. With a semi-automatic, that is maybe 5 seconds of firing time. Now, if the cops stopped firing, reloaded there guns, started firing again on a corpse, then yes, we have a problem. But I bet that was the fastest 5 seconds of those cops lives. And one that they will relive at night for a long time. Unarmed assaulant or not.

Yeah well if we shouldn't be putting down the pigs and they are just thinning the heard who is thinning their heard out. They are human too and need to answer to somebody too. There is a large number of cops out there who are just as bad as the guys they are arresting but because they have a badge that makes it ok.
2001-07-09 02:59:33 PM
That's crap. The cops have internal affairs and the media who love to cover anything scandalous. When they have been found to do something wrong, they have been punished. Are there bad cops out there? Of coarse. Does this mean that all should be disrespected? I don't think so.
2001-07-09 04:16:39 PM
all you people tha agree with the action being taken by these pigs are depraved..how can anyone think it's OK to shoot an unarmed person. stupid pigs..
2001-07-09 04:28:57 PM
An atrocity in Camden is not going to be covered by the media. I live half a mile from there, and I never heard a thing about it. And if Camden P.D. do have an internal affairs division, it's as corrupt as the rest of the city. It's poor minorities who are most susceptible to police brutality.
2001-07-09 04:51:13 PM
It's poor minorities who are also more likely to run from, disrespect, or attack a cop. It is the age old question all over again, which came first, the beatings or the disrespect?
2001-07-09 06:22:05 PM
Poor minorities, my aching asshole. I for one am glad to read when the cops blow some criminal away, regardless of race. And for the record I couldn't give a rats dick if they were armed or not.
2001-07-09 07:51:34 PM
Did you know that on the show 'CHiPs' that they never drew their guns? If you watch carefully, when the do confront a suspect, they'll yell freeze and put their hand on the gun, but never draw it.

michael_knight, you are probably the most ignorant hick whose posts i have had the pleasure of reading. and i've read some of the worst.

i'm amazed at how many people believe every word that the police say. "we shot him in the back because he was a criminal." oh, okay then. that's fine. as long as he was a criminal. how long before they decide you're a criminal? i guess it will be a while if you are white.
