(Some Guy)   Good thing Obama is totally above all those nasty politics as usual. Otherwise he might do something mean, like destroy an opponent by leaking confidential divorce info to the media   (nytimes.com) divider line

Is an order of protection confodential? I would guess that it would be public information that this guy found and used. I doubt it was ever confidential.

2007-04-03 4:35:12 PM
"Order of protection"="Restraining Order"?

And yeah, you can usually look up this information quite easily...

2007-04-03 4:39:24 PM
This whole story boils down to "there are those who say", which applied equally to those who believe Obama released this information and those who blame the reverse vampires for 9/11.

A bit early for a flame war isn't it?

The Tribune reporter who wrote the original piece later acknowledged in print that the Obama camp had "worked aggressively behind the scenes" to push the story

So Obama dug up some questionable dirty on his opponent during a primary? How dare he! I'm glad that no prominent Republicans would do something as heinous as that.

2007-04-03 6:06:08 PM
You said Kerry's message in the primary was that he wasn't Bush.

And you took it as the literal gosple, and to use your words, distorted what I'm trying to say.

You want to win an argument so bad, you'll settle for sematics.

Now, back to Barry. Does his using Rove-like tactics bother you at all?

TheConvincingSavant: Now, back to Barry. Does his using Rove-like tactics bother you at all?

Any evidence that he did? Once again, I seem to be the only one of the two of us who read the article. You're going to take a completely unsourced allegation from the liberal media at face value? You're not so much Convincing as Convinced.

2007-04-03 6:18:13 PM
Is it 2008 already?

No? Oh. Well then who gives a sh*t?

Great, another new gerund to loathe: "blackberrying"

2007-04-03 6:22:03 PM
If the IL republicans could have only have convinced da coach to run, Obama would have gotten wiped off the map. His name was tossed around after Ryan dropped out.

Kinda makes me giggle.

Jack Ryan would have defeated Barack Obama if his hot wife Jeri Ryan (who played a borg in a Star Trek series) hadn't come out about his propensity to take her to bondage orgies or something like that

Actually she kept quiet about it during the campaign. The allegations were all in the divorce papers which were sealed after the divorce. A bunch of media outlets sued to get the divorce papers unsealed not knowing what was in them, won, and now everyone knows.

2007-04-03 6:34:14 PM
Blackberrying is a perfectly cromulent word.

/ugh...please, make it stop. It's not even Halloween yet.

Ah, it's nearly the opposite of a gerund. Gotcha. So that's, "I have a new !gerund to hate "blackberrying".

2007-04-03 6:38:07 PM
If they're true, sure. But all we have right now is a "maybe someone in his campaign did it several years ago."

How generous. That same generosity probably doesn't apply to the other side of the isle though, does it?

Does Rove's using Rove-like tactics bother you at all?

I wouldn't have named it as such if it didn't.

Wait a second. First you biatch about semantics, and then in the very next sentence you intentionally spell someone's name incorrectly? WTF is wrong with you?

TheConvincingSavant: How generous. That same generosity probably doesn't apply to the other side of the isle though, does it?

That's not generous, that's rational. As in, "you have irrationally accepted this story which lists no source whatsoever".

Uh, so what DID you mean?

Sooo Subby, out of that huge article, you took the last 2 paragraphs to make your point?

2007-04-03 6:43:34 PM
Are we quite finished with the flamebait headlines for today? Because I'm getting a serious case of burnout.

The guy in the title of this thread must be a different guy from the picture.

Holy Crap! There are two of them!

You're still talking about semantics. You still haven't read the article. You still have nothing to say.

If this is you.

Ooh, looks like the mods are here, cracking down on the posts. Can you guys go ahead and pull all of TheConvincingSavant's posts while you're at it?

/No offense amigo, but it's pretty annoying to see you blabber on with mindless ad hominem attacks...why don't you read and comment on TFA instead?

Why bother asking? Whoever tells you will just have their post deleted for referring to a post that was deleted.

This topic intriges me. What will happen when Barry gets put under the hot light?

He isn't perfect. Nobody is, but the only thing helping him now is he seems cleaner than the rest of the Democrat field.

If it's shown that he's just like the rest of them, he looses his only advantage. Game over. No more hoop.

CAN'T YOU PEOPLE SEE HE'S BLACK?!?

It intrigues me that you still haven't read the thing that got you into such a temper tantrum.

Funny, he always looks to me like he's covered in mud.

And so well-spoken.

Sorry, I missed the part where what he or his operative might have done was misleading, like push polling about McCain's out of wedlock dark child in the South. Or outright false, like letting fly that the Clintons trashed the White House.

Not that it's better to have been factually correct and to have the facts substantiated, and a matter of public record.

But comparing anyone to Rove without massive distortion and outright lying does Rove injustice.

Or outright false, like letting fly that the Clintons trashed the White House.

I have a feeling that it wasn't the "campaign" that did that. If it was an "official" move, it was truly retarded, and had the Bush presidency out of the front page right out of the gate.

Ha. ha. yeah we get it Weedwagon, his name is Barack Hussein Obama. Get over it. You sound like me when i was 4.
"Winnie the Pooh hahah! get it?! Pooh!"

d'art: I have a feeling that it wasn't the "campaign" that did that.

That would be why FS said it was "outright false"; because Rove et al fabricated it out of whole cloth.

2007-04-04 11:29:22 AM
the Clintons trashed the White House.

I heard they swiped all of the "W" letters off the computers and typewriters, and took a group shiat on the chaise lounge in the lincoln bedroom.

The stories the mass media print is proof to me that people will believe absolutely ANYTHING.

I'm talking about the fabrication, not the physical removal of keyboard keys, as being not an administration move, because it's not the message Karl Rove would want to send early on.

When Obama starts a multimillion dollar national ad campaign to discredit war veterans get back with me, until then, stfu.
