MyNameIsNotMervGriffin

His people are trying to get him to run. My prediction - he'll enter late after they've all tried to kill each other in the primaries.

There are some photos will out there that would end Superman's political career immediately.

That's why he won't run.

Democrats can do better. They just won't run any of the good candidates.

As a Republican, I'd happily vote for Governor Sebelius.

If Romney becomes Prez, we can rent out the white house for the 1200 or so days out of his 1461 in office where he will be out of the country, not 'President-ing'. At least that's how he governed.

Woot! Bootsy Collins for Prez!!

2007-02-12 3:52:36 PM
For the "You lost AL...get over it!" crowd, I give you two undeniable facts:

1) Bush-Cheney was the first to go to court, asking for an injunction to stop the recount, and
2) The recount was never completed, as the US Supreme Court stopped it.

Therefore, how can you say Gore "lost" - the only thing he really lost was the case before the Supreme Court, as the legal recount (states' rights!) was never completed. So Bush really was essentially court-appointed.

You can't deny that even with everything used against him, Kerry came within around 100K votes in Ohio from winning in 2004. Is there any doubt Gore would have easily defeated Bush, with the Clinton-Gore record and the fact that he wasn't involved in the Iraq debacle at all?

The SC cited the fact that since Bush was going to be president, Gore winning after a recount would cast doubt on Bush's legitimacy. I say "fact" because it's hard to deny that losing the election would probably be bad for someone who was elected...except how can you be elected until the vote is counted?

And telling is the fact that the SC explicitly stated that their decision could not be used as precedent in the future, thereby putting Scalia's man in the White House without risking that it might be used against him in the future.

"president romney" doesnt exactly roll off the tongue very nicely. i need to be able to be able to pronounce my prez's name. "president obama" doesnt do it for me either.

where haev all the candidates with the cool names gone? bush! clitton! reagan! ford! carter! lincoln! kennedy! adams!

the only real choice for prez is john edwards. cool sounding name and a cool guy.

Bush-Cheney was the first to go to court, asking for an injunction to stop the recount,

You might want to dust off that history book. They were not the only ones asking to stop or start recounts from the courts.

Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln, Hayes, and Harding all had close enough elections to cause huge turmoil enough to go to court.

It amazes me....

In 2000 you had all these liberals complaining about the vote count down in Florida.

But in 2004 when Washington's Gubernatorial election results were so close, their chants of "count every vote" suddenly stopped once Gregoire won. Dino Rossi won the first vote, won the second vote, and when the third vote came in favor of Gregiore, the liberal establishment in this state said that she had one.

TALK ABOUT FARKING CORRUPTION.....DINO ROSSI WON 2 OUT OF 3 VOTE COUNTS AND GREGOIRE WAS ABLE TO STEAL THE ELECTION!!

In closing, I would like to say:

Ted Nugent for President.

The Punisher for Snohomish County Sheriff

Missing the mandatory aw-shucks southerner. The usual rule - half the USA won't vote for a ticket that doesn't have an aw-shucks southerner on it. Half of what got Clinton elected was his Arkansas accent.
