I'm not a big Tenacious D/Jack Black fan, but that is one hell of a classy move. Good for them.

yup, I am not much of a Jack black fan but that is pretty damn classy.

Years ago I went to a show @ the Greek Theater, here in LA. Artist to remain unnamed, so as to not get me flamed (they were free tix). So the performer asks someone from the crowd to join him. And some dude does, and knows how to play guitar, and plays one of the songs with him. After he was done the artist got on the mic and said "and if you don't get laid after this, nothing will help"

"We'll be scoring heaps of chicks," Christchurch's The Press newspaper quoted the duo as saying.

I saw Ian Gillan recently at Slim's in SF. He'd had an online contest for a guitarist to come up and jam with them on Smoke on the Water. It was pretty cool.

The coolest evar that I've seen was BB King showing up at JJ's blues club in San Jose and signing up on the Open Mic list. Naturally, by unamimous consent his name went to the top, and everyone else on the list got to jam with BB.
