But, but.... Islam is the religion of peace and tolerance! Only Islamists, that tiny minority of violent extremists tainting the religion do this sort of thing. It's that tiny minority that does things like kill rape victims for defneding themselves, or stoning women for showing their ankles, or beheading people for quitting Islam, or.... No way could entire governments be run by Islamists, since they are such a tiny minority, right?

We should embrace multiculturalism and Islamic culture in particular, even when that culture shuns, reviles, and attempts to destroy all others, right guys? Guys? Free ride, because somehow, when criticized, their leaders scream racism, so it must be true, right guys? this has nothing to do with religion, Bahrain as far as i know would be like any arab country and have no relationships with Israel. This is politics, its not america has friendly relationships with every country...

This guy's story is a little more complicated than jpost makes out. Turns out that Kenya has revoked his citizenship too because they don't allow dual nationality. The Kenyans are saying he should've handed his Kenyan passport (the one he used to enter Israel) in when he defected to Bahrain. Poor bastard is now stateless.

True. Very true. I can't say how true you are No Such Agency Look at Iraq. Sunnis and shiites killing each other. Some liberation. If Israel was to suddenly vacate or no longer exist, you'd have Hamas and Fatah party fighting each other in the streets.

If you look back in history, you'll see that each group claims that they were there first. I fully understand why the Arabs are pissed off at the prospect of Israel, but...

... shouldn't they let it freakin' go now? Seriously. It was created in 1948. Israel's presence doesn't seriously impact the Arab world economically or politically. Surely, the Arab world has better things to do than gripe over something that isn't going to change anytime soon (if ever).

Then why do it?

Because the oil-rich Arab leaders need a scapegoat to draw the ire of their impoverished citizens. Something to distract them and deflect their anger away from their own corrupt and incompetent leadership.
