her status as the Democrats' best-organised, best-financed and best-connected contender for her party's presidential nomination

all of this remains true which is exactly what is wrong with the democrats.

the winner of the candidacy has to fulfil the requirements listed above, not the requirement "will anyone vote for them" or even the lesser requirements "not universally hated" or "so unelectable could even lose to Bush"

You mean to Jeb?

Ewwww.

No way she's going to be able to do charisma.

+1 for headline

There really needs to be organized opposition from Democrats against Hillary's potential candidacy. BAD IDEA.

I agree, she can't win.

Michelle Obama had previously expressed concern that her husband might be vulnerable to a racist assassination attempt

As opposed to regular assassination attempts, which are much less dangerous.

Why do the dems want to run her? You know, I think they should run Oprah. She'd win in a landslide. Hands down.

I really don't want either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama as the Democratic candidate. Hillary Clinton comes with way too much baggage and Obama is too inexperienced. I fear that we are going to get a candidate forced on us again like we did with Kerry with similar winning results.

I'm a Democrat. I don't want her to run. Most of my friends are Democrats (I live in Oakland), they don't want her to run. I have never met a Dem who is excited about her candidacy.

Okay, that's all anecdotal, but I am not convinced by the Hillary-as-frontrunner narrative.

And as far as Obama's lack of experience goes, I see that as a plus. Look at all the experience the current administration has. How did that turn out?

According to bloggers she could get hold of pictures of Obama cutting out a line or two.
I don't know why we still think there are those without sins still left in this country.
Running for high public office requires such a Anal exam that no one not defective in some way would want to run.

If Hillary runs, wouldn't she be exceeding her term limits? I thought you could only have two terms in the Oval Office.

It's all good... there's always the DIIIIEEEEEBOOOOOLLLDDDD!!!! thing if you lose.

larry00 : According to bloggers she could get hold of pictures of Obama cutting out a line or two.

I doubt that's a problem when he very much admits to it in his books and explains how it was connected to the rebelliousness of his youth. As Obama said, when asked about his use of marijuana: "I inhaled. That was the point."

As for anything recent? No way.

Didn't know the Dems had a monopoly on this one. I guess it was George's overwhelming leadership qualities that made him a better candidate than McCain huh.

Unlike Bush, she at least got the popular vote.

How many people are just tired of the Clintons and the Bushes?

I think that is the whole thing. People just want to move on. They should ask about that in their polls.

"A pox on both their houses!"

I'd rather she demonstrate a high WIS statistic than CHA. CHA is more relevant than DEX or STR, but while you can hire high-CHA characters as ambassadors or press secretaries, the president should have his or her own WIS and INT.

OBAMA FTW! He's farking honest people! He makes the guy he sits next to nervous. I like that. Plus, that smell of sulfur I get when I see Hilary on T.V... not so much. As HumbleGod said it, this has gone on long enough.

Can you think of a more upstanding guy in the entirety of governmental offices? Can you? Yea, he might not be qualified, but he'll be able to bring a bigger pair of shoes to the table. The ones that are there now....my little brother could fit into.

////GO B.O!!!!
