its hard to believe things like that can actually happen in this day and age, truly frightening.

The stadium was ringed, inside and out, with paramilitary police in camouflage fatigues, carrying submachine-guns. Inside, hundreds more grim-faced officers sat and stood in rows, beneath a red banner reading "Move Zig. For great justice".

Still, it's nice to know in China the quaint old Communist show-trial tradition is still going strong. They do know how to hold on to that local cultural flavor.
