(Sports Collectors Daily)   Jets' running back flies two birds on his football card. Probably sees it so often from Jets fans that he thinks it's some kind of local greeting (with pic)   (sportscollectorsdaily.com) divider line

Okay...just how the fark did this get through the screening process? You'd think they'd look at the film some time between taking the pic and that pic appearing on the card...

I still have a few of the Billy Ripken "F*ck Face" cards, and I could never figure out how that one made it through.

"We apologize for this oversight and recommend
collectors to return the card to Topps for a randomly chosen replacement
autograph card from our 2006 Bowman football product:"

Anybody that does that is a complete dipshiat. That'd be like turning in an inverted Jenny for a regular 24 cent stamp. (Not the same magnitude, though)

If the cards are selling so well, why stop the run?

You kidding me? We're liking Leon Washington these days.

Nobody on the Jets staff been hated by Jets fans since Rich Kotite.

And then there's the whole "Belicheck can eat a bag of dicks" scenario, but he's not on staff.

Chariset: If the cards are selling so well, why stop the run?

Maybe Bowman is stopping to run to make up for the fact that the Jets can't?

I don't see it. Looks like he has his hands in fists and the black thing on his jersey is sort of like a middle finger.

No
Fingers,
Leon

Thank you, Mr. Washington, for reminding me why I don't watch football anymore.

Except there's no black things on Jets jerseys :-P

No Billy Ripken picture yet?

2006-11-14 1:57:26 PM
7of7, his gloves are black past the knuckle. The "black things" is what makes it worth $50 on eBay.

2006-11-14 1:57:41 PM
...middle fingers on both hands extended in what is generally regarded the universal gesture of disdain.

Ah yes, Jeeves... please go to the balcony and give the crowd the Universal Gesture of Distain.

UNLESS you have the actual card right in front of you (or a larger, clear image file) it's damn hard to make out that those are middle fingers.

I love it when guys who have done absolutely nothing in their pro career act all hard; meanwhile guys like LT and Larry Johnson just go out and score TD after TD, and don't make a big deal about it.

tjdrys The "ado" ending on the verb is already indicative of the past participle, so the "'d" part is simply wrong.

While the eagles might not have hyperextended "black fingers" on their jerseys, I seem to recall dark green eagles. Look real close on both sleeves, those are eagle wings, but don't let that get in the way of your self-righteous tirade regarding pro athletes.

fairly ironic as I am sitting through 5 weeks of switch and router training.

anyway, yeah I got it. I was just a little worried the mods might be angry about swearing in another language.

//no hard feelings.

tjdrys is learning how to use modern technology to block access to FARK.COM at his workplace.

Have fun in router class. Drink lots of CIDR.

It looks like he is making a "W" with his thumb, index and middle finger on both hands. Almost like a switched Folks gang sign.

Why would the Jets have eagle wings on their uniforms?

Doc Ellis is my favorite player ever. Didn't put up with any bullshiat and pitched a no-hitter on LSD...insane.

He said he had to throw the ball down a multi-colored tunnel to the catcher's mitt.

/what more could you ask for?
//can't find a Doc Ellis jersey anywhere...

2006-11-14 2:32:57 PM
Or it could be that he's just another a-hole to come out of FSU.
