I guess it could be real. I never claimed expertise on Cohen's face fuzz.

But his characters have different levels of face fuzz. The gay flaming one has none. So what, would he shoot all the Borat stuff at once, then shave it and be the gay guy for awhile, then let it grow in a little to be Ali G? Seems like an awful lot of work.

Though maybe he can sprout a full-on Borat stache in about four days, who knows. But the bushiness of that sucker seems like a weeks-long process to grow that baby, even for the hairiest of men.

SBC has mentioned a few times that the moustache and hair take six weeks to grow. He's a method actor. He even wears underwear specific to the roles (Hillfiger for Ali G, a thong for Bruno).

Supposedly it takes him six weeks to grow out both his hair & stache for Borat.

Men grow hair at different rates. It'd take me 6 months, maybe more, but I think that's because of my German side. Some guys at work can grow longer facial hair in a week than I can in a month.


Seems like an awful lot of work.
