You may hate what Republicans stand for, but you've got to respect the way they've put principle over party.

Um, the Republicans have pretty much sold every principle that they had down the river (spending cuts, tort reform, social security reform, immigatation reform - the list goes on), which is why a fair number of them may find themselves unemployed on election day.

What's lamer? Pissing and moaning about Joe Lieberman?

Or pissing and moaning about Ariana Huffington pissing and moaning about Joe Lieberman?

/yes, by posting I'm contributing to the cycle of pissing and moaning.

dameron: Or pissing and moaning about Ariana Huffington pissing and moaning about Joe Lieberman?

I don't know about you, but I'm LAUGHING about Ariana Huffington pissing and moaning about how no one else is pissing and moaning about Joe Lieberman.

And I hope he doesn't win, because if he does I'm afraid I might laugh at Huffington so hard I'll stroke out.

Isn't that really all democrats do is piss and moan? It sadly seems that their entire stance is "We're against [insert whatever Republicans say here]!"

I wish the Democratic party the best of luck, but they really need to organize, take a firm stance on something, and defend it. The Democrats of today really seem to be like the kid in school who would almost start to stand up for himself, until the slightest threat of confrontation, and then would immediately back down.

Seeing as how Republicans are almost handing them the mid-term elections on a silver platter, I hope they don't screw this up.

Don't forget... this is a woman who either lived in denial or just didn't figure out her husband of ten years was gay. Her judgement MAY be suspect.

That woman bugs me. I listen to a podcast of "KCRW's Left, Right & Center". Just about every episode, they say "Ariana is out of the country" or something. I don't care where she is! I am happy she is gone. The rest of the show is pretty good.

She will probably become like Michael Moore. The right will try to use her as a symbol of the left. I am pretty much left, and I have never watch a Michael Moore movie and I don't like Ariana.

The only thing I like about Joe Lieberman is how he pisses off people like Ariana Huffington. As wrong as I usually think he is, I like how he's given the two party system the finger and run independently. I wish more people would... especially one's that I might actually agree with.

Just goes to show that primaries are all about appealing to your party's core... someone who can win the primary often isn't electable in the general election and vice versa.

It looks like Lieberman is going to win, so the DNC doesn't want a lot of bad blood... they don't want him signing on with the Republicans, which he might do if things get nasty enough. And Lieberman needs to stay Democrat-friendly if he can, because a large number of his supporters might well abandon him if he actually jumped parties.

as much as huffington is annoying she is right about Lieberman, the man LOST the democratic primary election and instead of taking it like a man, he ran as an independent becaue he actually believes the that senate seat is designed ONLY for him, how can anyone respect that?

HuffingtonPost.com sucks ass. It began as a useful aggregator of actual news, but quickly deteriorated into:

1. Entertainment news ("BREAKING NEWS! BRAD PITT BOUGHT A PUPPY! IN EL SALVADOR!")
2. Nameless 3rd rate bloggers with embarrassing headshots.
3. Novelty blogs by 4th rate entertainers.
4. A vehicle to promote Ariana Huffington's 5th rate books.

Not worth reading.

As a gun-toting, pot-smoking, videogame player, let me be the first to say Lieberman is a shiatbird.

Lieberman is Connecticut defense's tool and there's no way that they are going to let him not run.
