I'm a little rusty with big dollars, what's after trillion? There's such a debt that high?

Yes, News Max readers, like Fox News viewers, are so farking dumb that this will be news to them.

Next week: Regular oil changes may increase the longevity of your automobile.

Week after that: What "longevity" means.

So that means you have to be worth a certain amount to be considered worthy of living?

No, meaning, one will still recive Social Security checks (hence retired people) untilt hey die.

But to get such a check from the day you are born, won't happen.

Quadrillion. We don't have to start making up new names for numbers for a long time.

/What if we owed a googol of dollars?

LosinMySenses: But to get such a check from the day you are born, won't happen.

Nobody's talking about that. That's called a negative income tax, which is supported by noone other than idiots of the Green Party. So basically, you're against paying someone a wage which allows them to survive? You would rather they starve to death and die?

Because of course the governments of super-power states should adhere to the same rules as a family of four.

Of all the things I learn from NewMax, the biggest thing is that its viewer base:
1) is afraid of getting beat up (lots of self defense ads)

and

2) faces lots of rejection by women (what the libruhl media doesn't want you to know about picking up girls! style ads)

NewsMax - the website for wimps!

Don't spend more than I earn? Thats UN-AMERICAN! Un-Republican at the very least.

It's actually not that simple a lesson if you don't have much earning power because you've seriously screwed yourself -- ex. high school dropout with two kids and no real job skills would be in a fairly deep hole, esp. if family support is weak.

That said, it's probably more common for high school students to view luxuries like iPods, large TVs, cable, game consoles, piles of DVDs, cell phone plans with some ludicrous number of allowed monthly minutes and SMS messages, and "fashionable" clothing as necessities.

I think you are not seeing the picture here. To be paid from the moment you are born would be for those who are born with a silver spoon in their mouth. I'm not saying we cannot live without an income. But I'm saying the current government will not foot your bill from the moment you are born for no cost to them.

Those who are getting social securitty checks EARNED that right to get those checks because they worked for it.

But not every senior citizen had a cushy job and a cushy retirement plan which is why we still have Social Security checks going out.

2006-10-20 8:21:36 PM
The government doesn't earn anything. It takes. If it didn't spend more than it earned we'd have no government.

I agree.

And they say Bush hasn't accomplished anything! liking him less than Clinton? That's QUITE an accomplishment.

why would the liberals care if women like me?
for that mater why would consertives care?

why would consertives care if a brain dead women is..... never mind!

onomatopoetic --
Theoretically, a government should provide sufficient useful and competent services that it does earn much of what it takes. A government which merely takes and provides little for it -- ex. a "Big Man" kleptocracy -- is going to at least need to please the segment of the population with the firepower to remain very long.

And some libertarians and some economists. Though they are in favor of an NIT in lieu of social welfare. The idea being that individuals can make better use of the money than a one size fits all government program.

Hmm, that may change, if you think of global debt, sooner or later we'll need a number hgher than quaddrillion.

You're clearly missing the point. The way numbers are named is well defined upward. Billion, trillion, quadrillion, bi- tri- quad-, naturally next is quin- hex- hept- and so on and so forth, so it's a long time before we run out of numbers. Of course, scientifically numbers stop at million and are measured in way such as a thousand million million.

2006-10-20 8:29:01 PM
Korovyov: ex. high school dropout with two kids and no real job skills would be in a fairly deep hole, esp. if family support is weak.

The time to solve this problem is before dropping out of high-school, before having the first kid, and before having the second kid.

I have a degree and a good job and I still think carefully about the repurcussions of having my next kid. I'm thinking about the cost of good schools here, not whether they can eat without using credit cards.

Well, it's a government run system, and the same system that is result of our growing debt, so what more explanation do you want?

Besides, there are people who get Social Security Disability (SSD) because they can't work because their disability doesn't make it simple either.
And just so you know, you lose your SS benefits if you get a job that makes a certain amount that will get SS check cutoff. Otherwise you'd be guilty of defrauding the gov't

1. the economy was good
2. budget sulplus

bu...bu...but Clinton . . .

Was our last President to balance the budget. It may have been smoke and mirrors, but at least he had the brains to do magic.

onomatopoetic: The government doesn't earn anything. It takes. If it didn't spend more than it earned we'd have no government.

The economy is based on cash and cash flow. The government creates both. The problem is when the "take from A and give to B" is done in an anti-competetive and anti-growth way.

JOEKC: Was our last President to balance the budget. It may have been smoke and mirrors, but at least he had the brains to do magic.

Bzzzz...It's VERY easy to check the facts and see that was a side effect of the stock market bubble. If you want to credit Clinton for fraud and poor investments, go ahead.
