My pants just got a little tighter around the crotchetal region.

Is this going to be the opening version in the 3-D re-release, or just a bonus track on the cd?

Watching the video now, and loving it.

I absolutely adore Manson. Loved him back in 94 when they played in Ft. Liquordale regularly. He is farking awesome.

and if you don't like him, go away and play in someone else's sandbox.

I'm not suprised.

He's certainly got a knack for looking f*cking creepy.

But I like him anyways.

Not bad at all... Manson is very talented at what he does, and is extremely intelligent to boot.

Rare when I say: Good cover.

On the flipside, I will start with this disclaimer:

I'm not a dues-paying member of the "I Hate Fall Out Boy" army, but their cover of "What's This" made my testicles climb up inside me just a little bit. That song needs to have Danny Elfman's passion, for lack of a better word. And it's just not there.

Looking around YouTube, I'm seeing a lot of the covers from this cd. Off to find "Kidnap The Sandy Claws" by She Wants Revenge.

Sweet! Thanks for the tip, s'mitta!

I'd love to hear a decent cover of "Poor Jack."

Great movie. Every time I watch a Burton movie though, I kind of get a little sad thinking how much cooler it would have been with Vincent Price doing the narration.

2006-10-20 3:12:06 PM
Oof. How did I miss this gem in the track listing?

Kidnap the Sandy Claws - Performed by Paul Reubens, Catherine O'Hara and Danny Elfman

Wow.

/Off to click "BUY NOW".

Meanwhile... the video of Fiona Apple performing Sally's Song?

Ew.

Flan: Oof. How did I miss this gem in the track listing?

Pee Wee played one of the Lock, Shock and Barrel kids.

the video of Fiona Apple performing Sally's Song

Where is that?

He did the narration for Edward Scissorhands, didn't he?

And in regards to this topic... This doesn't do it for ya?

Opening Narration - by Patrick Stewart
Closing Narration - by Patrick Stewart

Wow, not Mansons number one fan, but that was really good.

/Nightmare Before Christmas is a GREAT flick.

Thanks, Flan.

Vid of Manson and Elfman discussing soundtrack. (pops). Not an ounce of testosterone to be found.

He was in Edward Scissorhands.

Patrick Stewart is cool and all, but he's no Vincent. (pops)

Thanks for that video.

Any chance you have some of whatever drugs those two were on?

I love both those guys but sheesh, were they uncomfortable!

I just might have to by this. It sounds great!

bales: i'm still pissed that daisy left.

He was great too.

Too bad She Wants Revenge and Panic at the Disco are on it. Kinda ruins the whole album.

2006-10-20 5:49:25 PM
Marilyn Manson is officially a sell out. He hasnt released anything but cover songs in close to ten years.

/thread is over

TheSilverOne: Too bad She Wants Revenge and Panic at the Disco are on it. Kinda ruins the whole album.

Don't forget Fall Out Boy is sucking the cool out of it too.

2006-10-20 5:53:07 PM
Came in here to express the exact same thing, TheSilverOne and radiofreewill.

Given what a classic movie TNBC is, why (oh God) why are they ruining it with flavor of the month covers?

2006-10-20 5:55:44 PM
Ugh. "Nightmare Before Christmas" was when goth officially came out of the underground and into the shopping malls.

2006-10-20 6:06:03 PM
Flan, that's not Fiona Apple, that's some gross fatty.

2006-10-20 6:36:50 PM
darkhorse23: He was great too.

yeah. in my humble opinion manson went straight downhill after that. portrait & smells like children are classics. the rest... meh.

i still love his persona though. and he does great cover songs.

Thread over, Skarecroe wins.

2006-10-20 6:40:12 PM
Yeah, I missed Fall Out Boy. They suck too. Although they're kinda the same band as Panic at the Disco, so I guess I did cover them.

2006-10-20 6:42:40 PM
Seconded, Skarekroe.

I can't go anywhere anymore without some Hot Topic "goth" wearing jackets and hoodies and wristbands and whatever the hell else they're stamping Nightmare logos on.

It's a KIDS MOVIE, you losers, and a mediocre one at that. The songs are terrible and Burton was barely involved in it. He just put his name on it so it would sell. People always think he directed it, that's the only reason these goth wannabe chodes have latched onto it.

Get an original personality, you mallwalking farks.

Koro needs to change name to Bitterorange.

Just a bonus track; I caught a preview screening last night of the 3D release. The 3d adds a lot of texture and depth to the already cool visual personality of the film.
/manson's cool
//Mechanical Animals is underrated

Well then. I guess that settles it. I've liked a medicore kids movie all these years, and even that was only because of the hype. I'm glad you set me straight.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I probably won't get to see it. I don't get to the movies much, and even thought my 2 year old is showing an interest, I think the 3-D would be too intense for her.

Still wish I was about 6 inches taller and 20 lbs skinnier to be Jack for Halloween...

2006-10-21 10:55:16 AM
korovaorange,
I hate to break this to you, but the whole concept of the film was Tim Burton's. He then worked as producer on the film. So shadddap!

Vid has been added to my MySpace :-) Fits my Halloween theme well....

i am also completeley confused as to why the hell this movie is popular. it isnt all that good, and everyone worships it like it was the freking greatest cinematic masterpiece of all time. the ONLY reason it is in the theaters now is because the profit charts from hot topic finally hit enough millions to justify putting it in there. and, i have to wonder, how "rebellious" and "original" are you really being when you buy hordes of merchandise from a second-rate movie that came out more than a decade ago, that is also the SAME crap that all the other "rebellious" and "original" kids at your middle school are also buying? it would seem that your idea of being a cool kid is flawed.

/dont get me started on corpse bride
//shoulda called it "tim burton's 'i want more money movie'"
