After the beatdown, his total indifference to being defeated. That was indeed the moral of the show.

For the Horde.

Hunter? More like Warrior, am I right?

The internet has turned into such a horrible thing. I think I'm going to call my congressman and support that anti-net-neutrality bill. Anything that slows down this incredible ball of stupidity can't be all bad.
2006-10-12 08:35:57 PM
I guess nerds miss the part where the show spelled out how they have no lives.
Oh wait, they must have conviently missed that nitpick.

/Never played WoW
//Looked interesting, but no
2006-10-12 08:36:48 PM
I *rolled* when I watched the Episode.

+10 Cool points for Parker and Stone.

Best part of the show:

Right on! I totally agree. I laughed SO loud when his glasses slowly fell and he pushed them up without blinking or any thought. I swear I actually KNOW people who look JUST LIKE THAT GUY and yes, play video games. However, they're X-boxers, not WoW guys.
2006-10-12 08:37:13 PM
Can't wait for the WoW TCG.

Gonna be sweet

The internet is great.

I was upset to learn that "Hello Kitty Island Adventure" does not actually exist.
2006-10-12 08:39:21 PM
I kept pointing out the inaccuracies to myself the whole episode, even though I did love it.

/I'm a huge nerd.
//Timmy should have been Leeroy.

You can make fun of nerds who have no life.
You can make fun of nerds who are overweight.
You can make fun of nerds who are covered in pimples.
You can make fun of nerds who have not seen the sun in months and have no life.

But, don't you ever, ever, ever make fun of WOW.
Nerds will get mad, you won't like nerds who get mad.

/Go ahead nerds, screw with my credit rating. You can't get any lower than me!!
2006-10-12 08:41:04 PM
just furthers south parks theory of WOW players
2006-10-12 08:41:32 PM
Blizzard was involved which more than likely means that many of the inaccuracies are intentional.

Oh, how great it must be to openly mock people that pay you billions of dollars only to have them not get it and in the end, love you more.
2006-10-12 08:41:51 PM
I plan on suing South Park for using my likeness in it's portrayal of a guy playing Warcraft without a life without my express written permission.

I'm glad to say I didn't understand that article at all.

I'm a big enough WoW player to have caught most of the inaccuracies when I watched that episode. I thought that the episode was hilarious, and the "mistakes" are obviously intentional. I don't think a single spell or skill is referenced correctly in the entire episode.

For WoW nerds like me, it just makes the episode that much funnier, because we get to hear "WoW-speak" from the perspective of someone who has no idea what they're talking about.
2006-10-12 08:44:18 PM
I want to know what kind of keyboard is Stan using. Interesting layout I must say.

Is the no life guy in the episode going to be the new mid-season replacement for the Sharp Knees guy?
2006-10-12 08:45:31 PM
let me join the cast of voices saying:

"just proves south parks point all the more"

omg did you see that, it would have taken them 12 weeks, not 7" *as he uses teh old cheeto under the desk to floss with
2006-10-12 08:45:38 PM

Why would they sit like that?

Also, I thought that was Sparky in the poster on the wall.

schmack: The internet has turned into such a horrible thing. I think I'm going to call my congressman and support that anti-net-neutrality bill. Anything that slows down this incredible ball of stupidity can't be all bad.

Every now and then.. sometimes... I think our congress people are acting in our best interest and really do realize how stupid the internet has become.
2006-10-12 08:45:56 PM
As a WoW widow, I have to say that was one majorly cathartic episode. I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard at South Park or any other show for that matter.

I loved the episode, and sadly regret that I understood most all the lingo.

/*sigh* I knew he was a gamer when I married him, and said "I do" anyway, so really not much room to complain.

//still hate WoW though.
2006-10-12 08:46:31 PM
Why not nit pick and wet their pants about how it was a farking commercial and wasn't funny?
2006-10-12 08:46:53 PM
I thought that episode was farking hilarious. Never played WoW and neverwill but I do have a myspace page

I'm sure he ordered the knife on his desk off of some website.

/gamers love weapons...
2006-10-12 08:51:48 PM
As a South Park and WoW fan, I have to say that you really do have to be off the deep end in WoW to get angry over the nuiances that were in the episode... I mean, for chrissakes, the majority of the people watching the episode probably haven't even PLAYED WoW before, so changes they had to make for the plot or make it seem more consistant for a layman were necessary.

And hell, they're fun to point out to a room full of confused friends.
2006-10-12 08:52:32 PM
When I was a kid, my older sister used to mock me mercilessly for spending untold hours playing D&D. She's now shamelessly hooked on WoW. I haven't cracked my DMG in over 20 years and she's on the server for at least 10 hours a day. When you're 16, an obsession like this is a bit geeky, but typical. When you're over 50, an obsession like this is just sad.

/just sayin'
2006-10-12 08:52:48 PM
Haha, EQ2 will never get its own episode.
2006-10-12 08:52:50 PM
The lack of two things disturbed me in that episode.

1) Female WoW players
2) Horde
2006-10-12 08:53:07 PM
This list is, quite possibly, the most pathetic thing I have ever seen in my life.
2006-10-12 08:54:28 PM

2006-10-12 08:56:08 PM
Funniest South Park in a long time.
2006-10-12 08:57:57 PM

Why would they sit like that?

I actually .... kinda sit in a similar fashion, which caused some of my friends to give me MASSIVE amounts of crap when we watched this episode.

Basicially, if you sit in a computer chair long enough, and you use it enough, it's back will just.... eventually give away, and every time you sit in it, it'll just go back immediately. And since you're used to it, you're reclined with the chair as well.

And so, you stare down your nose at the screen like a doofus, arms reached out in front of you as if staring at a screen was doing the leuge (sp?). It's like semi-laying down while playing the game... being relaxed and zoning too much into the game.

Talking about this makes me want a new damn chair, damnit. Little 4mm-wide ball berrings keep falling out of the base of the thing and they litter the floor, I just know that's a safety hazard somehow.

Waaaaaayyyyy to much freetime on people's hands there, that's what that there is.
/WISH for that kind of freetime
2006-10-12 08:59:37 PM
Does this mean we have to come up with a new term now that Cartman used "pwned!"?
2006-10-12 09:00:07 PM

A very perceptive one. Umm, yea; you know that big black screen that comes up at the beginning of each show. Has that little disclaimer on it. Maybe you should stop play WoW and start paying a little bit more attention to important things, like tv and girls.
/I missed subbys grammar fark up but I see TF's were on top of it. Thanks for making the mods fix it before it hiy the main page. Assholes!
