Is everyone really gonna be afraid of frickin stingrays now?

2006-09-06 8:05:26 PM
I've caught several of them by mistake, and I always cut the leader. I always said I was going to try to unhook the next one, but I never did.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

This is just another lie put forth by the liberal media. Clearly stingrays hate the freedoms we enjoy, and out of misguided jealousy, and ignorant rage they struck down a symbol of one of those freedoms (the freedom of the free transmission of ideas...i.e. media).
Wait...this role is harder than it looks, I just confused myself.

I am sure the people of Delaware are relieved at that news.

Crikey! That's good to know. I was a bit worried there for a bit.

2006-09-06 8:12:31 PM
I've always thought stingrays were one of the most amazing animals I've never seen live. =( The way they "fly" through the water is absolutely incredible.

2006-09-06 8:12:40 PM
Can we call them death rays now? Just to instill the fear that is truly deserved from these man hating creatures.

Bwa!

That being said, I used to swim over schools of rays. Always thought they were fascinating.
What do these idiots think? That they're going to go to the beach and get mugged by an unruly school of rays? You know, the ones from the bad side of town.

I wore a pin of a stingray to school today on my shirt. Am I a bad person?

2006-09-06 8:17:10 PM
At the NC Aquarium at Roanoke, they have a petting tank full of rays. They're acutally very very social animals and love attention. They can spit at you too. Of course I don't know if these were bred exclusively in captivity or if they were wild at one point. I still doubt there is such a thing as a 'domesticated' stingray.

2006-09-06 8:17:12 PM
Why do stingrays hate freedom?

2006-09-06 8:18:39 PM
ThatsTremendous: AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

You see those blue spots? Those mean it's a land-crawler, and a man-eater to boot. It could easily break into your house and eat your children before moving onto the adults. I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that the population of man-eating killer stingrays has increased while missing persons, sometimes entire extended families, have increased at the same amount.

I lost both my legs to a flesh-eating stingray, there's a stingray in the ocean right now with two legs and the stolen life forces of over a thousand people. I was looking for my wife (who went mysteriously missing), and he burned down my home while I bled to death on the beach. Luckily I was saved by a friendly wild boar.

Damn stingrays.

I was in Ocean City MD during this summer. Saw about 5-6 rays that were very close to shore. Surprised me since I didn't realize they were this far up the coast. I was swimming with a few friends, when one of their kids said they felt something rub against them. Of course, I thought the kid was crazy until I saw the rays. Pretty cool.

For those of you who don't know where OC, MD is, it literally borders Delaware. (Fenwick Island DE)

Is anything dangerous in Delaware? Besides maybe drunk drivers or maple syrup overdoses? Or that 3rd helping of grandma's famous biscuits and gravy?

Yes, but not because of the pin. Because you touch yourself at night.
