i'll vote for him only if he is super serial aboot man-bear-pig

2006-07-30 2:50:43 PM
I didn't beleive he was running. DTFA NWT (nor want to)

2006-07-30 2:54:32 PM
Where did that "serial" SP gag come from? Did he actually say that at some point?

2006-07-30 3:11:28 PM
SpongBub:

No, which is yet another reason why that episode sucked ass. Trey and Matt have simply reached their 9-10th season slump (a'la the Simpsons) where it is getting harder and harder to be funny, and they are transitioning from intelligent, all-sides-attacked social commentary to "grinding our axe against all the flake hippies in California". Not that I disagree that California's got the flakes, but Trey and Matt are starting to become notably unfunny.

Anyway, I don't really like Al Gore, and that episode sucked my ass all the same.

Too goofy to be president of anything.
Sure the kook left would like it but what about the country.
Think of the country.

2006-07-30 3:41:06 PM
Wait, Al Gore is too goofy? As compared to...?

Man, is my thumb not on the pulse of america.

He'll put it in a lockbox!

Gore told Rolling Stone, "Right now we are borrowing huge amounts of money from China to buy huge amounts of oil from the most unstable region of the world, and to bring it here and burn it in ways that destroy the habitability of the planet. That is nuts! We have to change every aspect of that."

Hard to argue with that logic.

2006-07-30 3:53:08 PM
I'm sure Mainstream America would prefer the authoritarian, superstitious neofascists we have in power now. After all, what's due process but an unnecessary impediment? And how will we compel ideological compliance if someone circumvents Fox News?

.

It would help offset the trade imbalance by increasing the flow of illegal funds from China.

/always looking for a silver lining and still won't forget Tipper and Al's PMRC hysteria

i met al gore's cousin, she said that he has been stiff his whole life...

/you know what i mean

2006-07-30 4:30:38 PM
He would be the same as the rest of them.

The system is broken, and needs a reboot.

totalsecurity: The system is broken, and needs a reboot.

What exactly do you recommend?

2006-07-30 4:50:13 PM
I recommend the invention of a new computer network.
We will call it... the INTERNET!

2006-07-30 4:58:35 PM
"Al Gore, where have you been all my life?

Oh, I don't mean the alpha-male wanna-be, that scripted, stiff, uninspired candidate for president in 2000. I mean the self-effacing movie star with man-of-steel conviction from An Inconvenient Truth, who is trying to shake this country by the shoulders over the dire consequences of global warming. From the ashes of his overhandled "be everything to everybody" campaign rose the real Al Gore, a confident, wonkish, accessible intellect who has a supremely important question for inhabitants of Earth : How long can you tread water?

This is the man, with his charts and facts and rising seas message, that the Democrats should enlist in 2008."

Oh Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! *gasp* Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please!

While I don't pretend to have the answers, I believe that there needs to be some way to let people run, other than those backed by special interests and big money.

We have a supposed 2 party system, but there's little difference between the two. And no matter what the people vote, the government does what it wants anyway (assuming there is a vote).

Why America needs Al Gore in 2008. We're ready for an adult

Whoa. We're assuming America survives two more years of Chimpy McDisaster.

I would vote for Gore in '08. I didn't vote for him in 2000, but this Al Gore wasn't around in 2000. I looked.

2006-07-30 6:30:25 PM
I voted for him in 2000. I would vote for him again.

I would prefer him to run about a billion times over Hillary Clinton

2006-07-30 6:32:54 PM
I'ma gonna vote for him.

2006-07-30 6:33:10 PM
I'm having a hard time reconciling the two terms "adult" and "Gore"...

He's one of the more childish politicians in recent memory--and that's saying a lot.

2006-07-30 6:33:10 PM
Headline contradicts itself.

2006-07-30 6:33:59 PM
2006-07-30 05:06:58 PM Tatsuma

I now have more reasons to vote for anybody else.

2006-07-30 6:34:34 PM
I voted for Bush in 2000 because that particular campaign was so muddled that I nearly flipped a coin. I held my nose and voted for Kerry in 2004 because I felt Bush wasn't doing a good job.

But Gore in '08? No way. Not ever.

2006-07-30 6:34:49 PM
why do I get the feeling the author goes home at night and hugs and kisses her Al Gore pillow?

2006-07-30 6:34:56 PM
Unfortunately, whomever ends up as the nomination for the democratic party is going to have to endure a vicious fight against fellow democrats just to GET there. One big enough to end up hurting their chances in the election that MATTERS.

I'll vote for anyone that can hack it as First emperor of the Moon.

2006-07-30 6:36:31 PM
It'll never work.

2006-07-30 6:36:47 PM
Al Gore, where have you been all my life?

That's the point at which I stopped taking the article seriously.

2006-07-30 6:37:11 PM
I'll vote for him if he's running.

2006-07-30 6:37:33 PM
Tatsuma...

Please tell me that his support for Israel is not the only reason that you would vote for Gore. (Or anyone for the matter) Are you interested in ANY OTHER POLITICAL TOPICS involving the world? Global Warming? Addiction to Oil? Homelessness? The Stem Cell Debate?

While I do read and enjoy your feverish debates and words you have on here... but could you, for once, please chime in with something else?

/No Mention of Israel in the article

2006-07-30 6:37:51 PM
Tatsuma

got you back.

without al gore inventing the internet, i would not be able to read why i should support him in 2008.

/al gore invented global warming

2006-07-30 6:38:19 PM
one hitter quitter!!

SOMEBODY WITH TESTICLES IN 2008, please democrats

2006-07-30 6:38:25 PM
The only redeeming thing about the ManBearPig episode was when Cartman crapped treasure.

2006-07-30 6:38:47 PM
Gore 2008. For our sake, for God's sake. Because I'm tired of being smarter than the president of the United States. Turns out it's not so funny after a while.

Al Gore, where have you been all my life?

as best said above, "yeesh". even if she hadn't jumped immediately into the outer-space media script from 2000 about "alpha males" and all that other shiat reporters made up from whole cloth . . .

the beginning just made me imagine this hideous beaver woman chasing down gore's limo, fogging his limousine window as she scrabbles at the doorhandle until tackled by secret service.

I have got to say that that is the biggest load of crap myth ever imposed on the voting public. Granted, the system is unfair to outside parties, but to say the 2 current parties are the same is nonsense. Nader was an idiot to say this.

2006-07-30 6:40:13 PM
Amen sister.

Voting for Al again would be a pleasure

2006-07-30 6:40:22 PM
Al Gore & Howard Dean as a team would rock, just like Hall & Oates.

2006-07-30 6:40:27 PM
After the dipshiat that's been in office the last 6 years I'd vote for anyone who wasn't a Bush follower. Could it get worse? Its hard to imagine.

2006-07-30 6:40:49 PM
Because we also need holes in our heads?

2006-07-30 6:42:07 PM
He's against lots of things I am for, and is NUTS beyond me for other things, and is the stereotypical hypocrit on stuff like the enviroment - how many large jets did he fly, over and over, to go to enviromental summits? why didn't he just do netmeeting on the internet he invented? Why the bloody hell did he need to take multiple large jets there multiple freakin times? In doing so he used more oil than I will in a lifetime of driving.

That being said, Bush gave a start to some stuff that I'm wanting to see actually move forward quicker, and Gore will be just the whack job to push it *hard*. California has a couple dozen hydrogen stations already for fuel cell cars...lets see several hundred across the nation. For that matter, lets fix the stupid power grid, and stop losing almost everything produced to transmission. Only problem with him is he'll not do the obvious choice, which is to put small nuclear stations all across the US.

Meh.

Wish he and every other politician who claims to be pro-enviroment and anti-gas importing would stop wasting 100x more gas than me, but...take what we can get, I suppose.

Hi, I'm DistendedPendulusFrenulum and I like to use big words 95% of the population doesn't know, so I appear superior to everyone else.
