$50k, tops.

I hate how cops always inflate the prices so much. The best shiat ever would be $100k at the most.

milesdavishatesu: $50k, tops.

I'd give you up to $80k, but even if it was incredible stuff there's no way it'd be worth more than twice that.

If it were 750K good... I would like to sample some.

This is the kind that a contact buzz knocks you unconscious.

Only if you're selling by the gram on the Ave (usually winds up being about a half a gram)...or so I've heard.

Stop electing the hypocritical, ignorant jackasses who oppose legalization of pot while they're fine with alcohol and tobacco sales. Conduct letter writing campaigns, contribute to the ones that exist, vote them out of positions of influence.

Next question.

Because they all grow from the same plant?

More like worth a jillion dollars

Acting on a tip, it took police in Lloyd and New Paltz less than 24 hours Friday to intercept $750,000 worth of marijuana being sent to four local addresses.

24 hours?! Are the cops driving Hoverounds?

"When you absolutely, positively gotta bust 'em by tomorrow"

2006-07-29 1:42:28 AM
$470/oz?

That is not orders of magnitude too much really good shiat. Expensive, but not unheard of.

2006-07-29 1:53:27 AM
100 pounds? There probably ain't that much weed in the Ole Miss marijuana fields.

milesdavishatesu: $50k, tops.

I'd like to know where you're getting weed for $30 bucks an ounce. Must be all stems and seeds.

Man, it looks like the police catches you only if someone snitches you out or you do some stupid shiat like keep driving in loops.

That's why I drive defensively and never tell anyone when I expect a shipment.

/Oops, I've said too much

True, however, 100 lbs. of that kind of quality bud doesn't seem to be in the possession of one person, unless they are the grower.

Maybe I'm just too much out of the loop.

2006-07-29 1:57:44 AM
In California, or so I have heard, pounds of decent kind bud go for around 3,000 in the LA area, if it is something special, such as Purple Kush, it might be 4,000. In Humboldt County if you know the grower, you might get a pound for 2,500.
I really don't know about bulk purchases of 100 pounds. Even if you were buying someone's entire crop, I really don't see kind bud going for less than 1,500 a pound in the United States.

He had 100 pounds of weed in his ass?

$50k, tops.

I'd love to move where you live, if you can buy an ounce for $30.

Unless I'm doing the math wrong, $750k for 100 pounds comes out to be slightly under $60 per eighth. Around here headies go for about that price, so I don't see anything unreasonable about their figure as long as it's good quality stuff.

2006-07-29 1:59:50 AM
$50K? $85K? What the fark kind of shiatty ass, skanky weed are you people smoking? When was the last time you bought weed? 1973?

If it's decent stuff, that price is maybe a little inflated. Maybe.

2006-07-29 2:01:12 AM
much laughter = $30 an O is oregano, miles.

i'm paying $90 for a quarter and it's nice; it makes me feel like an olive oil smoothie.

and Vin Diesel has a point.

i'm sure they are looking at full retail price, kids, come on!

No stems, no seeds that you don't need, Accapulco gold is...badazz weed

What new nebulous wars can we start?

As Rick Romero would say: Law enforcemnet always use the highest street value. 100 pounds @ ~ $15/gram roughly equals $750K.

untrustworthy,

I want to see some big time busts on people over 900lbs.
well, not big time busts, but busted big time...

If I were buying 100 lbs. -- which I'm not -- I wouldn't sell it in 100 x 16 x 8 little-teeney packages.

THe point is that there are Bulk discounts. People who deal in high volume give each other rediculous discounts, because they so desperately want to be rid of the stuff. Sure, it's 60$ an eigth, but its also 150$ an ounce and 400$ per pound.

The cops calculate it at the last leg of sales, when a half dozen people would otherwise have had a cut, the full "street" 60$/eigth. Really, the 100 pounds would be closer to 50-70 thousand dollars as has been suggested, because the person with 100 pounds doesnt have the time to measure out and bag 12,800 eigths.

Point taken, and I agree. Each year that I get older I have a stronger opinion against the war on drugs.

Wholesale prices. Basic stoner economics.

2006-07-29 2:08:51 AM
Oh, I would just like to add-

If it is high grade and you are paying $120 a quarter/$60eighth, buzz for buzz it is still cheaper than drinking. You have to look at how many times that will get you high, not just some random dollar figure.

2006-07-29 2:08:52 AM
Yeah, war on terror, and this is what the government is focusing on. Feh!

2006-07-29 2:10:29 AM
In Jersey, good is 400 /oz. Or so I've heard. Hey, the guy's gotta pay his power bill...

So that's what, 6400 / lb? S0 640,000 for this stash at full retail. 750,000 is a bit high, but not rediculously so, as long as it's the kind of you have to double bag and put in tupperware to keep it from stinking up your car.

2006-07-29 2:11:28 AM
And some people think inflation is a good thing.

Decent pot at the street level costs $10 - $20 per gram.

There are about 45,000 grams in 100 pounds.

Decent pot bought at street level prices would cost between $450K and $900K.

Law enforcement always states the max value of drugs seized, which is essentially what crackheads or pot heads will pay for dime bags.

What is confusing?

2006-07-29 2:13:01 AM
no one with 100 lbs of weed paid 750k for it or will pocket that much when they sell it off pound by pound.

When it's being sold by the eigth it will be worth 750k, but there'd be at least two levels of people taking a lof of that money before it's sold to the consumer. The guy with 100 lb wouldn't be making anwhere close to 750k.

2006-07-29 2:13:02 AM
its possible that he was a distributor? wtf?????????
100 pounds is 1600 ounces, or 12,800 1/8s.
Even when I was in my biggest stoner phase, at the absolute most I might have personally smoked between a 1/4 and a half a day. Even at that rate, this "stash" would last the dude for decades.
Yeah, I think its pretty safe to say it was intended for distribution.

2006-07-29 2:13:32 AM
Just like everything else they can't tax, it won't be legal till they can make money off of it.

2006-07-29 2:13:35 AM
454 grams(pound)* 100 = 45400, so 750/45400 = roughly 16 dollars a gram, or bullshiat.

2006-07-29 2:13:59 AM
I've dealt in kilos of this shiat before ... 750k for 100 pounds is so farking stupid as to be a joke. 100 pounds would generally net around 50k tops. You have to understand that when you deal in very large volume, the prices are much different.

You can't just ask how many 8'ths are in 100 pounds and compute. It doesn't work like that.

2006-07-29 2:15:17 AM
Zel:

400 bucks a pound only if it's mexican brick weed. which if you don't mind the beaners(no not those beaners you rascist) and worse taste is not that far off in potency from the kind or kush or chronic or whatever name you young whippersnappers like to call good pot nowadays.

2006-07-29 2:15:24 AM
They figure the price by the joint. $5 a joint, maybe, but then there some farkers like myself who roll really big ones.

2006-07-29 2:15:50 AM
mobombhead

It's confusing that anyone thinks this price is inflated.

45,359.237 grams of weed, $60 per 3.54369039 grams.

That's $768,000.

"Street value," doesn't mean the discount price the dealer gets. It means the price the drugs will fetch on the street right?

2006-07-29 2:16:02 AM
Paraphrasing Mel Gibson in his recent movie "DWI arrest"...

"Is there a problem ossifer?"

/And it was here, in this blighted place, that he learned to live again...

"Street value," doesn't mean the discount price the dealer gets. It means the price the drugs will fetch on the street right?

In that case, what is the opportunity cost of sitting around selling over 10,000 8'ths? It is just another example of law enforcement blowing bullshiat out their ass. 750k for 100 pounds?? I've grown 10 pounds a pop before and I sure as hell know that wasn't 75k worth of weed .... and I sure as hell wouldn't be splitting it up in 8'ths to sell it on the street. Way too risky and the opportunity costs are way too high. Easier to just offload the entire batch to a middle man who then offloads it in chunks to other guys, etc.

2006-07-29 2:19:01 AM
100 pounds of weed = $750,000

How much do you wanna bet it's all shiatty brick weed, and the cops are just bragging?

If it was the chronic, cops would have only found 50 pounds of weed. The rest would fuel the annual police and fire department volleyball tournament.
