(Some Guy)   Blogger claims John and Teresa Heinz-Kerry are financing Hezbollah thru a series of conections every bit as plausible as the NYT's chart connecting Bush with the Swift Boaters   (bookwormroom.wordpress.com) divider line

A headline that criticizes both sides?

Awesome

Can't believe this went green and live so fast.

Hmmmn, FactCheck.org might disagree with that one...

This must be one of those heavy flow flamewar days on Fark.

Well, turrist bombs turn people into hamburger and hamburgers go with ketchup. But... what possible relationship was there between Bush and the noble Swifties ?

"Hezbollah has a blood debt that will be settled eventually by the United States Marines and Army warriors."

what in the world is going on in this sentence? Blood debts? Warriors? But there can only be one highlander?

Wait, I'm confused. Am I supposed to complain about the liberal Fark bias or the right-wing Fark conspiracy?

blahpers: Am I supposed to complain about the liberal Fark bias or the right-wing Fark conspiracy?

I think it's a "linking to dumbshiat inflammatory blogs" bias.

Yes. But be careful, this can cause head assplosions.

I heard Bill Clinton trained with al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. He's a "sleeper."

By that same token, here's the aforementioned dumbshiat inflammatory chart from the New York Times:

Executive Monkey: I heard Bill Clinton trained with al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. He's a "sleeper."

Well I heard that Bill Clinton personally oversaw for secretly flying in tons of cocaine into a Little Rock airport, despite no radar record of any airplane, and eyewitness reports that Clinton was elsewhere. I found the accusation as part of an unsigned editorial on the Wall Street Journal.

The liberal press is supressing evidence, I tell ya! Supressing evidence!

Isn't the election over? Didn't they win? Is this like the Chinese Communists always demonizing the Kuomintang and outing the elements that conspire with them even though they were soundly defeated and ran away to Taiwan?

Apples and oranges. We all know the swift boat douchebags are connected to the GOP.

Failing to demonize the enemy as hordes of godless, commie, pinko, socialist, miscreant, anarchists, bent on raping and aborting our wives and daughters while simultaneously forcing our men to engage in homosexual activity on a street corner simultaneously fingering a dog, all while an American Flag is being burned at a satanic rite, would mean they would lose the next election and the reckoning would never come.

Fart_Machine: Hmmmn, FactCheck.org might disagree with that one...

Well, they're a little different. Swiftboats was funded by a group that also gave funds to various Republican campaigns. TH Kerry funded a group that like to hang out at events partially hosted by terrorist groups. Not quite the same thing, but I see where smitty is coming from.

2006-07-20 3:56:03 PM
Stop clouding this issue with facts dammit!

It's not enough that the GOP used an assload of dirty tricks to win the last election, there's another one coming up that needs to be won, and you are just getting in the way with those silly litle facts of yours.

Doesn't it make sense to have people at a Hezbollah-sponsored conference? I'm pretty sure that's called "intelligence gathering", and in this case, it's legal.

These "Swift Boaters" are dispicable individuals, as are anyone who supports or participates in the sleazy campaign of character assasination in which the Right has been engaged for the last few years.

As well they should. Who better to defend America against the evil Mustard Conspiracy and the terrorist Relish Brigade? Though, the Relish Brigade hasn't been as effective since they split from the Kosher Dill Army.

As opposed to the sleazy campaign of character assassination in which the Left has been engaged for the last few years?

Stop trying to pretend either Party is better than the other, so we can Move On past these two losers.

The phrase "character assassination" implies Bush-type conservatives have "character" to begin with.

Perhaps they committed "character suicide" before getting into politics.

H.G. Pennypacker: A headline that criticizes both sides?

Unfairly.

Awesome

No, its part of the problem.

One is a lie, and the other isn't.

We should be identifying lies when they occur; not creating new ones to appear "balanced".

Well, they're a little different. Swiftboats was almost entirely funded by a group that was a key fundraiser to various Republican campaigns.

Fixed that for you.

You forgot to mention that most of the leadership had close ties to the GOP, including their Communications Director who put together the Anti-McCain ads for Bush during the primaries.

TH Kerry funded a group that like to hang out at events partially hosted by terrorist groups. Not quite the same thing, but I see where smitty is coming from.

The PDF document shows about 13 pages of groups who participated in this event. Hezbollah was one of those in attendance. There is nothing to suggest that they received any money from the event nor from the group in question. So yeah, it's not quite the same thing - whatsoever.

2006-07-20 11:14:35 PM
OMG John Kerry is a terrorist and hates this country.

The man went to f*cking Vietnam. You're going to let some dumbass accuse him of funding terrorists through some half-assed attempt at linking his wife's providing money to some random group that once went to a party with some other people from Hezbollah? Are you kidding me?

The conservatives fascists are getting antsy, you can tell because they are screaming louder and louder and getting more and more batshiat insane as Election 2006 approaches. Because let's face it, you'd have to be insane to support the Bush administration.
