The guy who complained about "P Galore" appears to be a necrophiliac. Glass houses and stones, anyone?
2002-06-24 09:38:36 AM
Headline writer == Dumbass
2002-06-24 09:40:22 AM
My favorite plate--A55Orgy.

Did everyone see the "too hard to read" one? If they think that's bad, they should see the "Flagship Niagra" plates here in PA. I guess they were pulled because white on light beige is kinda hard to read. Go figure.

I was dating my late wife at the time...

HEHEHE == good call, Stalinism
2002-06-24 09:40:42 AM
People are too damned sensative.
2002-06-24 09:41:12 AM
So shouldn't this website be called the smoking Pun? (If the headline is any indication....)
2002-06-24 09:41:27 AM
that liscense plate is harmless. some people are offended way too easily.

Good God. some people really do have nothing better to do than piss and moan about what other people are doing. I knew some people like that back in school.. they were called nerds
2002-06-24 09:42:43 AM
You could try breaking out the "Freedom of Speech" tactic.
2002-06-24 09:43:17 AM
It's amazing how little it takes to get people to complain about something. At the far limits of sanity I can maybe understand an individual getting a bit offended at a license plate. But to actually take the time to put pencil to paper and send this complaint in shows how little individuals have going on in there life and so they must bother other people.

It's Monday morning at 8:43 here in Dallas and I already hate everybody.
2002-06-24 09:43:18 AM
These people are farking whiners. "Oh, I am so offended because I saw what could be perceived as a dirty word. The world must be a place free of all dirty words and ideas. Government, please protect me!"
2002-06-24 09:43:45 AM

The Appleton Police Dept figured that "WMWNMNW" would be too difficult to read from a moving car -- it would look like a big zig-zag line :)
2002-06-24 09:44:20 AM
Give me a BREAK. I Fn rul? whos says it isn't"i farking rule"?? Or P galore? P can stand for anything. gd4life? Good for life maybe? God for life? maybe it should have been dg4life!?

WMWNMNW is fn great, I love it!
2002-06-24 09:44:50 AM
God bless you, Caknuck.
2002-06-24 09:45:05 AM
Did any of y'alls read number 6? The GD4LIFE one? Um...correct me if I'm wrong, but that's misuse of police powers. The 'officer' ran the plates for no reason other than he doesn't like the guy, is it just me, or does that sound kinda farked up?
2002-06-24 09:45:13 AM
Best plate I ever saw was on a Corvette in Florida. Don't know how it ever got by the screeners. They must have told them it was about the speed of the car.

2002-06-24 09:45:40 AM
I think it's funny that they allowed 'P*ssy galore' in the 007 movie in the first place. Great flick, by the way. Sean Connery was the best 007 hands down. Pierce Brosnan doesn't even hold a candle to Sean.
2002-06-24 09:45:46 AM
yeah. I know if I was driving and I saw "GET4LIFE" on a license plate, I know the next thing I would do is go out and join a street gang. thank you asshats for taking this vile offensiveness off the road.
2002-06-24 09:46:16 AM
I saw a cool one here in H-town the other day..

It was on a jacked up 4 wheel drive truck, big tires, stacks, the whole nine yards...

The plate was:

Vanity plates are for ... vain people. I would never have one of those. My friend in high school had one on his red firebird. It said "BAD", which actually were his initials. He got pulled over so many times because some cop wanted to say, "So, you think you're bad." When he would show the officer his license and inform him that those were his initials, he would get a ticket or a warning or some other harassment. This is also why I would never get a tattoo. The second thing they are going to say about you on Americas Most Wanted is, "He has a tattoo of a ___ on his ___."
2002-06-24 09:48:19 AM
Caknuck: Many thanks mi amigo

2002-06-24 09:49:20 AM
So, when you're on America's most wanted, you'll get away cleaner with the nation just knowing your name, and not what tattoo you got.

okey dokey
2002-06-24 09:49:33 AM
There's nothing inherantly wrong with being vain..

No, I don't have special plates.
2002-06-24 09:49:49 AM
2002-06-24 09:50:36 AM
NoGods: Not entirely true. Sometimes they are out of necessity. I have a vanity plate on my car for the sole reason that the plate I was issued just had to go. It was (obscured slightly):

Nightjars: except that it's a mortal sin. (not that I believe in those)

2002-06-24 09:54:30 AM
I once saw "666 GOD" on a plate. I am suspicious over how they got that, since there is a rule that all vanity plates here in MA must begin with a letter.
I don't even understand why you would pay for a stupid vanity plate in the first place. I hate paying $30 every 2 years for a registration, and there is no way I'm paying $75, or whatever it is now.
2002-06-24 09:56:58 AM
I have Veterans plates only because they looked cool, got me out of a ticket already which is nice

2002-06-24 09:58:28 AM
I miss my old non vanity plates.

Was at the DMV, and they handed me SSA-123

My car became known as the A$$ backwards mobile

Too bad I got rear ended, and the car got totaled

(I'll leave the puns to your imagination)
2002-06-24 09:59:40 AM
Virginia has to be the State with the most vanity plates. I have one too. Absolutely love it.
2002-06-24 09:59:46 AM
My step-dad has P Smurf on his plate. Love the man dearly, but sometimes I worry...
2002-06-24 10:01:35 AM
NyteStorm, yeah, I read that one ... I think it's rather petty of the cops to be biatching about license plates when they could be out doing something to actually prevent crime ...
2002-06-24 10:02:39 AM
So lemme make sure I've gotten this right.

New York has "T0ILET" on its red list of banned plates, but my best friend and I saw a plate a few months back that said "UWANKER"?

How amused am I right now? :)
2002-06-24 10:02:54 AM
LOL I need to register WMWNMNW in my state if its not already taken.. If you get pulled over it will take a while for the cop to call it in especially if he or she cant see that well... LOL
2002-06-24 10:04:11 AM
Change your hair, clothes, car, etc. but when they someone see's that dead kitten tattoo on your right bicep, you're through.

Close2TheEdge, That is a good reason, I geuss. In that case I might consider one that said "NO TAG" or "BLANK". Couldn't you just ask for another normal tag? I don't care if my local government makes a little extra cash from some people's vanity, they just won't get mine for that reason.
2002-06-24 10:06:38 AM
in Tasmania they have a combo of 2 letters and 4 numbers. saw one once
FU 0002
classic. legit. off the prints.

people offend too easily. "p gallore"??? damn. only old people and people who like 007 will get that, and those will probably not even care. lets ban my real name Pavel because the letters can be
P ussy
A ss
V ery
E xciting
L esbian

In america!!
Prevent Crime!!
The police are there to eat Donuts.
If you want crime prevented hire a security guard... or buy a gun.
2002-06-24 10:07:56 AM
That cop who complained about that plate, is probally one of those pussy cops who eats doughnuts all day & patrolls nursing homes so he dosent stress about getting shot or have to deal with all the dangerous stuff.. He just sits in his patrol car eating getting fatter & writes letters like this one..... LOL

My favorite plate -

2002-06-24 10:10:55 AM
My Fav when we used to Race was UD-LOSE
2002-06-24 10:13:13 AM
I guess my "P HEAD" plate is going to be banned now.

I can see a cop writing in about the WMWNMNW plate, but the guy who reads something dirty into the "P GALORE" plate needs to get laid because you can tell where his head is at.
2002-06-24 10:14:36 AM
LOL... What losers to complain about half of those tags...

On a different note... I saw a South Carolina tag (not vanity- one assigned by the state- they have a different background pattern to the vanity ones in SC) that read STN666 now- does that not look like Satan 666 to you?

Would love to see the expression on the guys face who opened up his Manilla envelope to see the state had given him a Satan 666 license plate! LOL
