Wait. This is his new insanity defense, right?

2006-06-24 5:08:28 PM
O'Reilly is in favor.

He does have the job experience, although his professional references are sketchy.

2006-06-24 5:32:47 PM
After that sweet, sugary dognut the other day I see he has decided to go with the Dan White defence...

2006-06-24 7:11:28 PM
I'd say that would be the best idea. Honestly. Can you come up with a more practical one?

Radioactive Ass: Freudian slip much?

2006-06-24 7:12:12 PM
If that ever came true, would the invasion of Iraq be justified? So many obvious questions...only one answer...

He does have the job experience, although his professional references are sketchy.

No kidding. Rumsfeld, Reagan, Bush Sr. are all on that list.

Ever notice how much Saddam resembles the Ha!Ha! guy?

Here we go, lots of experts giving their opinion.

2006-06-24 7:18:06 PM
Well, if Bush & Cheney & co. don't like him, then he must be OK.

And seriously, what did he ever do to us?

totalsecurity: Here we go, lots of experts giving their opinion.

Just like those 'experts' that said we would be greeted with flowers in Iraq?

mudcathi: Ever notice how much Saddam resembles the Ha!Ha! guy?

No.

Can't say that I have, not at all.

2006-06-24 7:19:27 PM
sadly, this is one of the best options on the table.

and its a terrible option.

basically, Iraq is getting really close to being as big of a mistake as Vietnam.

anyone still supporting this war should be sent there IMMEDIATELY and all the rest of the troops should be sent home as most of them aren't there by choice
. (some have changed their minds, many who signed up were manipulated, many are forced to stay past their commitment due to stop loss policies, etc etc)

anyone who supported the war to begin with, is in my opinion, an idiot. that does include most of the country.. but yeah, most of the country is composed of idiots.

2006-06-24 7:19:49 PM
Doesn't he realize there's plenty of other nutjobs in Iraq we can make president? And they might actually play ball with us too, at least, for the first 15 years or so.

2006-06-24 7:19:54 PM
Well, at least he's optimistic. That's gotta count for something, right?

2006-06-24 7:20:01 PM
Is the unlikely tag because it's unlikely he thinks that?

Smartest thing I've heard about police in the Middle East in a long time.

Put Saddam back in with an implanted device so we can blow him up if he doesnt do as told, tell him he can't touch the Kurds - ever under pain of death, tell him to murder every shiite in sight in the South, and give him a big bonus for screwing with Ahmadinejad and causing a war with Iran and let them kill each other.

Saddam would run this dump better than the US can. Proof is in the last few years.

Chelsea Clinton Is Carrot Top's Lost Twin: here's one guy who seems to like him:

It was in our interest to help him defeat the Iranians back then.

We gave this guy like 20 tons of anthrax for research purposes? Why shouldn't we trust him?

2006-06-24 7:22:04 PM
"Unlikely" tag should be replaced with "Dumbass".

Is Saddam a common name in that region? Is it like John or Gunther in the US or Deutschland? I've never heard of another Saddam.

/just wondering

2006-06-24 7:23:36 PM
while impossible... this is a great idea.

he obviously did A LOT BETTER JOB of keeping the country calm than we ever could.

2006-06-24 7:23:51 PM
"Um yea, sorry about the whole killing your kids and making you live in a hole thing. But you were right, these people are assholes and need to be ruled with an iron fist."

2006-06-24 7:24:36 PM
anyone who supported the war to begin with, is in my opinion, an idiot.

I was against this war from the word GO due to a funny feeling I had at the pit of my tomach (that feeling is never, ever wrong- my head is lots of times, but my gut, never). I'm not prepared, though, to say that everyone who supported this at the outset are idiots. Misinformed, maybe, but not idiots, and there is a world of difference.

People who support the war now, OTOH...

2006-06-24 7:25:16 PM
Alright, who's been feeding Saddam magic mushrroms again!!??

No, the "Unlikely" tag should be replaced with "Dognuts".

2006-06-24 7:28:27 PM
I'm begging to think that Saddam used these spoiled mustard and sarin gasses against our troops in the first gulf war and that would explain the gulf war syndrome.

2006-06-24 7:28:37 PM
thatguyfred: We retardedly thought it was in our interest to help him defeat the Iranians back then.

Fixed that for you

And I will do whatever them fellas who sent me here tell me to do, long as they keep sendin' me mo' wine. Amen. So mote it be. Brutha. Word OUT!

The current "tough guys" (chicken hawks) in Washington would lose too much face if they pulled something like that.

2006-06-24 7:30:20 PM
Anyway, the new Iraqi Prime Minister is calling for a timetable for withdrawal.

Link.

If Bush refuses this, it will be solely for domestic political reasons, because he doesn't want to admit that, well, the Democrats were right again. It sounds like a reasonable deal though, one that could actually start Iraq toward peace. Details pending...

2006-06-24 7:32:01 PM
Saddam is just following the logicical trail of completely retarded decisions made by the Bush administration in the last six years.

2006-06-24 7:32:36 PM
Yeah, and I'm going back to work for the guy that denied me a raise for failure to accept Jeebus....

2006-06-24 7:32:44 PM
icic heh

2006-06-24 7:36:04 PM
That would teach those insurrectionist bastards...

2006-06-24 7:37:00 PM
Guaranteed, if Saddam was on the ballot in an Iraqi election, he would win by a landslide.

2006-06-24 7:43:28 PM
Still not as delusional as many currently in power today.

2006-06-24 7:45:06 PM
Eh, he'd do better then the people running it today. Although I suspect it would be difficult for him to re-assert power. People know how easy it is to fight back now, so there's no going back.
