The effort hindered Menne enough for Wersal to get out of his car and push Menne off the bike.

That's hilariously ridiculous!

Honest to god, my brother sold the motorcycle to that guy. He bought it at the local Tractor supply

The world is at peace. All the terrorists caught, all the unsolved murders solved, all the felons are in jail.

Now all the police have to do is HARASS THE PUBLIC like jack booted authoritarian fascist thugs who roam around handing out seat belt laws, trying to DUI everyone even if they are under the limit they can say you are drunk anyway and they terrorize the public and they have firearms where the public cant have them that violates equal protection and they just drive around making life miserable for the public.

Oh, wait, they haven't even fixed all the problems I mentioned above, so they are USELESS and they HARASS the public.

Wow. And we PAY these people with our taxes.

It sounds like he was pretty drunk since he wiped out at an intersection. That creates a very dangerous situation. But, no, please overreact. Can't waste an oppurtunity to show your righteous indignation to everyone.

Why was there no helicopter video?

A chase such as this should have been covered from the air.

Why didn't the officer use his handgun?

/I'm sure a crime as heinous as this warrented that, and it would have been cool.
//He could have said he got them confused.
///Oh maybe he did confuse them.

Baron-Harkonnen: It sounds like he was pretty drunk since he wiped out at an intersection.

People crash all of the time without being under the influence.

That creates a very dangerous situation. But, no, please overreact.

How dangerous could a farking mini-bike be? Sheesh.

Can't waste an oppurtunity to show your righteous indignation to everyone.

Cops deserve it. Where I live they advertise constantly that they are running extra patrols to bust people for not wearing a seatbelt (which is a primary offense here). They have tv ads, newspaper ads, billboards, etc.

Then a month or so ago, everyone in our area who has an alarm on their home received a letter from the cops stating that they would no longer show up to our homes when an alarm is triggered unless we pay them an annual fee.

The cops act more like the Mafia all of the time.

Wow, all that just for a minibike? At "blazing speeds" like that, all the cop had to do was slip a stick into the spokes of the front wheel... Sheesh!

/will sleep well tonight knowing felons such as this are being apprehended

Holy farking shiat! Southern Minnesota makes Fark, I'm so proud! Who knows how many times I've driven through Lake Crystal without seeing (though knowing they're there) any of the asshats that live there.

/tear

shooting a taser at a miniscooter...do they teach that at the Police Academy in Minnesota?
Makes perfectly good sense. That would have been my first reaction. Either that or my 9mm.

2006-06-24 6:42:26 PM
These cops are such jerks I could've sworn they were from Florida.

2006-06-24 7:00:25 PM
It'll be just my luck, he'll hire my cousin, who is a lawyer in Mankato to defend him! I've got family all over that area. But then again, we've had idiots arrested around here for DUI on lawnmowers and tractors.

gossamer1234

you beat me to it.

2006-06-24 7:18:08 PM
Whoever the hell thinks that the cops were wrong for doing that, go fark yourself. Honestly, if they hadn't have stopped him he would have probably driven into a nearby lake and drowned or something.

2006-06-24 7:19:37 PM
I'm suprised that they didn't ram the guy off the road...

/seen that happen before

2006-06-24 7:22:59 PM
hehehe

My dad used to drive drunk on his lawnmower.

/didn't RTFA

Worked great for Henry Jones, Sr. in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, sure.

Plus, he could've talked about how he suddenly remembered his Charlemagne.

/let my armies be the rocks and the trees and the sticks in the spokes

I submitted this with a nearly identical headline yesterday.

2006-06-24 7:53:11 PM
Trying to decide what's more dangerous - riding a minibike drunk, or riding a minibike tasered. If he fell off the wrong way after being hit with that taser, he could have gotten seriously injured and sued the cops for it...

2006-06-24 7:55:31 PM
UnderwaterAlly: *Then* he would have got what he deserved. Shesh! Let's take some responsibility for our actions.

Remember when you were a kid and your mom said "that stove is hot, don't touch it" -- but you did and you got burned? The cops didn't need to be there to taser you before you hurt yourself.

They can just get out of our lives and let us make our own stupid decisions -- and learn from them. Hey - maybe that's why we've got so many dumb asses in this country.

Why didn't they just stick a ramp on a paddy wagon, drive it in front of him, and then slow down?
