She is totally hot.

2006-06-21 10:32:38 AM
What about all the good things Hitler did?

2006-06-21 10:34:20 AM
Interestingly, they both look good in a smartly-pressed uniform.

SLTyler: What about all the good things Hitler did?

Ann Coulter: All the hate, none of the highways.

2006-06-21 10:39:00 AM
11 correct out of 14...Did I pass?

Though it proaboably would have been easier if they translated Anne's messages back into there original German

2006-06-21 10:40:44 AM
wow, that was harder than it should have been.

2006-06-21 10:41:03 AM
12 out of 14. One of each switched. Booyah.

Can I play too?

Who said:

"It is thus necessary that the individual should come to realize that his own ego is of no importance in comparison with the existence of his nation; that the position of the individual ego is conditioned solely by the interests of the nation as a whole ... that above all the unity of a nation's spirit and will are worth far more than the freedom of the spirit and will of an individual. .... This state of mind, which subordinates the interests of the ego to the conservation of the community, is really the first premise for every truly human culture .... we understand only the individual's capacity to make sacrifices for the community, for his fellow man."

And who said:

"We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society."

3 wrong. Pretty funny.

2006-06-21 10:42:03 AM
I answered many of the questions correctly, yet when I checked my answers -- they told me I chose the other person. Bleh.

Easy to answer, if the language was in the least bit sophisticated, It was Hitler. If it was primarily name calling, it was Coulter.

That first one was George Bush, right, D_I_A? It's got his beautiful oratorical flair all over it.

The second one was Andre the Giant.

2006-06-21 10:48:35 AM
Ha, I got two wrong. And struggled with quite a few that I ended up getting right.

She is pretty awful.

Calmamity: That first one was George Bush, right, D_I_A? It's got his beautiful oratorical flair all over it.

Hurts that much eh?

2006-06-21 10:54:44 AM
Pretty easy quiz, really -- just look for "liberal" used as a noun. That's Coulter.

2006-06-21 10:56:41 AM
ArcadianRefugee: "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one."

Spock in Star Trek III, right?

What do I care what a middle of the road Dem-who-might-as-well-be-a-Republican like Hillary Clinton has to say?

It's you guys she sends in to a sputtering rage.

2006-06-21 11:00:24 AM
Dancin_In_Anson: Hurts that much eh?

Ha ha ha. Yeah, he seems really wounded.

Plus, this is coming from the guy who barges in on a good old fashioned Coulter-bashing with "HILLARY IS A COMMUNIST!"

Priceless.

2006-06-21 11:05:17 AM
NEWS FLASH: Hillary Clinton's not liberal.

2006-06-21 11:12:14 AM
Ann Coulter: All the hate, none of the highways.

Calmamity, can I borrow that?

/Yippee, I only got one wrong. Any of the ones where the quote sounds more intelligent, I guessed it was Hitler. Quite scary how similar the sentiment is though.

2006-06-21 11:15:28 AM
I would so hit that...

Ann Coulter, not Hitler.

Amazingly though, Hitler had some absolutely stunning english quotes for a man who only spoke German. I wonder how much was lost in translation. I also wonder how much the translator struggled to make it sound like Ann Coulter quotes during his translation.

I'd still hit Coulter though.....
/fappity fap fap

2006-06-21 11:15:29 AM
OlafTheBent: can I borrow that?

Of course. Credit Hillary Clinton for it.

bboy: NEWS FLASH: Hillary Clinton's not liberal today.

Fixed that for ya.

Calmamity: What do I care what a middle of the road Dem-who-might-as-well-be-a-Republican like Hillary Clinton has to say?

Republican?! Hillary? Heh!

hitchking: Plus, this is coming from the guy who barges in on a good old fashioned Coulter-bashing with "HILLARY IS A COMMUNIST!"

Actually she's more the National Socialist type.

Are you trying to start a flamewar over Hillary Clinton? You'd need to find someone who likes her to accomplish that. Or at least cares enough to try to defend her.

Good luck with that.

2006-06-21 11:21:32 AM
I only got two wrong on that...

/scary

2006-06-21 11:22:28 AM
Hey, you don't even need to change the B-b-b-but Clinton when trying the deflection technique. How convenient is that!

2006-06-21 11:30:13 AM
Croooow!: Are you trying to start a flamewar over Hillary Clinton?

No, just reminding everyone that everyone that we can all be compared to Hitler by the words we use.

2006-06-21 11:34:13 AM
Dancin_In_Anson: Actually she's more the National Socialist type.

You're a wee bit off there. National Socialists advocate the killing of all Jews, where as Hillary only defends a female Jewish person's right to kill her unborn child.

Dancin_In_Anson: just reminding everyone that everyone that we can all be compared to Hitler by the words we use.

The quotes you provided don't really strike me as particularly Hitler-esque. I think you're kind of reaching.

I can't stand Hillary, but comparing her to Marx isn't exactly as hurtful as comparing Coulter to Hitler. Marx created communism, but his version was a wholly utopian, if misguided, ideal. It was Lenin who turned it into the governmental abortion that was "modern" communism. Communism:Nazis::Marx:Nietzche, not Hitler.

11 of 14 correct.

American liberals have used their hegemonic control of...newspapers to create a charming world in which women apparently cannot bear to keep their shirts on."

She says that like it's a bad thing.

2006-06-21 12:12:42 PM
where as Hillary only defends a female Jewish person's right to kill her unborn child.

That's the Christian perspective. In Judasim, we don't consider the fetus viable until it's head crowns via the mother's vagina. As my father used to joke, me, my brothers and sister were never born since we were C-sections.

BTW, offically we don't shiva (mourn for the dead) if the baby dies within 28 days of birth.

/unofficially, it's up to the individual woman to decide how they feel about the fetus

Yeah...Hillary Clinton. the one holding public office...you know the one that actually holds some power in the government...and wants more...not the skinny biatch that writes a book now and then (even though Hillary has)...I think her words have more bearing that Coulter's.

2006-06-21 12:24:19 PM
i only got 10 right, shocking myself. apparently coulter IS as certifiably paranoid as hitler, and also uses stammeringly archaic language construction.

can somebody please shut her up now?

As an atheist, I did not know any of that. Thank you for an unusually informative post in the midst of a godwinning flame war.

i hope that clintonette's words are more seriously considered than coulter's but am not confident that's the case. even though she is a hardback troll, people can't resist trying to shout down trolls.

i think it's unfortunate that hilary has somehow managed to lampoon herself out of any serious consideration (although if we possibly can lever her ass up to leading contender-hood, i'd vote for her). i am not 100% how she did it, but i feel that a big case could be made for the "in a man it's decisive, and in a woman it's strident" school of thought. it doesn't bear the whole load, but there is some gender skew to it.

i am very afraid of what is going to happen at our next presidential election. but i wouldn't want to TJ this marvelous thread! :)

Dancin_In_Anson: I think her words have more bearing that Coulter's.

Maybe now. But Coulter's words are gospel truth for a portion of this country, who seem to be turning out to vote in record numbers every election. There are probably a good number of people in office who owe her at least a portion of the their winning margins. Much like Michael Moore, she's a savy business person, and deep down inside I suspect she's more about profit than ideology. However, her influence is undoubtable.

I overheard two gentleman on an airplane discussing how great she was, and one asserted to the other that the reason us liberals didn't like her was because she was "an attractive woman with conservative views". So get with the program fellas, don't hate her cause she's beautiful.

Beli Tsar: and one asserted to the other that the reason us liberals didn't like her was because she was "an attractive woman with conservative views".

HA!

I've heard many times ( especially here on fark ) that the only reason that I and other conservatives don't like Hilary Clinton "is because she is a strong woman in politics."

2006-06-21 12:47:09 PM
It's just sort of funny how those two quotes have been latched onto. You didn't think D_I_A just came up with those did you? They've been floating around the right wing blogs for years. They managed to find two quotes that vaguely ressemble each other and therefore equate the political viewpoints of Hilary with Hitler. In reality, both of those quotes reflect a school of thought that goes back a long time to such people as Rousseau in Du Contrat Social and which has informed a lot of political thought, up to an including the formation of the United States.

2006-06-21 12:50:52 PM
Abagadro: two quotes that vaguely ressemble each other a

more than just "Vague."

/Google is your friend, unless the same people who joke about "reality has a liberal bias" are also the ones who say that "Google search" has a right-wing blog bias when you search for Socialist comments from Hillary ( "we are going to take away things from you for the common good." ) Clinton.

2006-06-21 12:51:38 PM
Beli Tsar - "an attractive woman with conservative views"

Are we talking about the same Ann Coulter? 'Cause the one I see on TV is a pointy-kneed biatch with an Adam's apple.

2006-06-21 12:53:47 PM
I wonder if anyone's thought to e-mail this to Ann and see what happens.

2006-06-21 12:57:14 PM
I got all but 2 right. It wasn't all that difficult. Any quote that showed obvious contempt and hatred = Coulter. Any flowery language = Hitler. The two I guessed on I missed.

Although, I must say Hitler at least had some intelligent thoughts. Too bad he was hell-bent on making his idiotic ones come true.

2006-06-21 1:07:58 PM
Here's your sign, D_I_A:

[image from cheeky.stretchcannon.com too old to be available]

Incidentally - because I can never really tell just what the hell is going on in your head - but are you defending Ann Coulter?
