At least my birthday is on the 24th and I will have plenty of time to get rip roaring drunk!

my birthday is on the 24th, too!

Wasn't that about the release date for "Deep Impact", back in 1998?

Has Rip Van Winkle been snoozing again?

It's that same nutcase French air traffic controller who has written a long book on the politics of extraterrestrials.

Please return your tinfoil hats to their full, upright and locked positions.

Julien declares that numerous prophecies, including those of Nostradamus,
Mother Shipton and of the Bible Codes converge precisely towards this critical
period of the end of May 2006

And that's about where I stopped taking this seriously.

2006-05-19 1:58:02 PM
I won't mind dying as long as it's too quick for me to panic.

2006-05-19 1:58:49 PM
I was going to get an extension on my taxes this year too...

Well, hell's bells.

It'll probably hit north enough in the Atlantic that America's Wang will stop the really big waves from getting to you ;-)

2006-05-19 2:02:04 PM
Likewise, a great number of persons have declared having experienced Atlantic tsunami dreams prior to his first press release.

Oh yeah, if the prophecies weren't enough, I guess this is all we needed to know to take this warning seriously.

Good, I'm going to have beachfront.

Julien declares that numerous prophecies, including those of Nostradamus, Mother Shipton and of the Bible Codes

He forgot Revelation, Chapter 3, verse 22, "Sometime in late May 2006 a comet fragment will hit the Atlantic ocean and cause a tsunami".

//guys that translated the KJV were soooo clever

This is old news. We already had the story *AND* the follow-up from NASA.
Here's the follow-up link. The original thread was a few days before that, but I'm too lazy to look it up.

This guy seams very credable. Thankfully I still have a fully stocked bomb shelter i set up for Y2K.

But dammit! The Mayan calendar won't stop until 2012. THE MAYANS, they moved to the inner earth, remember?

According the internet, the preceding was true.

Horny teens alone on a shuttle, yeah, they're not gonna try boning in zero-G or anything.

He notes that such an exercise was scheduled for September 11, 2001 in New York, date of the collapse of the World Trade Center. Don't sweat it. I've got some plywood left over from a storage building I put up the other day, and considering what's left after the hailstorm, I may as well turn it into an ark. I'll swing by and pick you up off your roof.

2006-05-19 3:08:23 PM
Hmm it would probably wipe out D.C. Now I have mixed feelings about this.

2006-05-19 3:13:26 PM
The Farkmeister: considering what's left after the hailstorm,

We had some last week, but the worst was just south of us...We're talking cornish game hens falling from the sky! Are you in my neighborhood?

Dancin_In_Anson: We're talking cornish game hens falling

It hit us on the way to you. We only got about hen egg size or a little larger at my house, but it was baseball size by the time it reached the other side of town. And the way it formed I didn't have time to do anything helpful, so we have some damage. Maybe it was a sign of the impending sunami. lol

Pat Robertson is saying the same thing...

I'm a little worried...

It looks like 24's sixth season is going to come early.

Jack Bauer will whoop the ocean's ass into submission in less than 24 hours, with enough time left over to have sinister dealings with Chloe behind Audrey's back.

If it hits, it hits; if not, oh well.

Either way Im starting a fringe community in the Shenandoah mts, something akin to Mad Max/Red Dawn kind of living.

2006-05-19 5:25:44 PM
If you can't narrow down the time of impact to a particular day, then how can you know it will land in the Atlantic?

2006-05-19 5:25:55 PM
Hey, wait a second -- who Total Farked me?

Whoever did that:

Thanks!

2006-05-19 5:26:34 PM
OMG Pat Robertson is right!

Big storms on the coast?

It's almost like he knows its hurricane season.

2006-05-19 5:27:18 PM
Well, I was skeptical about this Mother Shipton, but if Nostrodamus and the Bible Codes say it's so, then oh Hell!!!1!1

/Mother Shipton sounds too much like mothership.
