no political bias here folks. nope. none at all.

I was prety suprised not to see that guy from Alaska on here...

Dick Durbin (Illinois): "The Debater"
I can't stand my senator and he is not a debater he is an idiot
2006-04-17 01:42:40 PM

Why? Hes an awesome Senator and any state should be so lucky to have a senator that works as hard to get them what they want.
2006-04-17 02:06:24 PM
Mark Dayton is the worst Senator.

An-Unnecessarily-Long-Name: Why? Hes an awesome Senator and any state should be so lucky to have a senator that works as hard to get them what they want.

Isn't it obvious? Because he gives Bruce Banner a bad name.

No, Allard is the worst.

Wayne Allard (Colorado): "The Invisible Man" -- In a Senate full of ambitious members, Colorado Republican Wayne Allard is so bland that his critics have dubbed him "Dullard." Now in his 10th year, Allard almost never plays a role in major legislation, even though he's on two key Senate committees, Budget and Appropriations. His kind of anonymity makes him one of the least influential senators, Time reports.

/Quit your whining...there are 6 Rethugs and 4 Progressives listed in the top 10 Senators....if anything, its biased in favor of the chimps...
2006-04-17 03:53:07 PM
Statistically, you'd expect 5 Reps and 4 Dems, with that 10th spot a tossup. For the five worst, expect 3 Reps and 2 Dems.
2006-04-17 03:56:34 PM
Not a single Independent on the list!
2006-04-17 04:22:12 PM
Kentucky, my home sweat home.
2006-04-17 04:23:56 PM
Can't speak for the others but Mark Dayton is worthless. His tactic is usually to hide behind all the big dogs in the DFL & ocassionally stick his head out during a debate & say "Yeah! What he said".
2006-04-17 04:24:34 PM
Jim Bunning: good pitcher, shiatty senator.

all of hawaii's politicians are the worst. Just cram em all on the list.

to be fair to the other 95 senators, they all suck ass too.
2006-04-17 04:30:17 PM
Our Senators in North Carolina are obviously following the advice given to Gary Hart: don't do anything.
2006-04-17 04:30:45 PM
I'm suprised Evan Bayh is not on the list. The only thing the man has done for the past two years is lay the foundation for a presidential run. The six years before that it was all about sucking up to the party leadership to move himself up in the ranks.

Senator Smith from Oregon is pretty crappy too. He's ticked off a lot of folks here back in the OR, even in the sticks. I think the big judge on "worst" should be if they ran again right now for the same job, would they get the job back? With Smith, I doubt the conservative part of the state would go for him.

you know laura bush killed somebody while she was driving, but NO ONE ever calls her on it.

hell,at least ted was drunk, laura is just an idiot.
2006-04-17 04:33:30 PM
They mark you down for not doing much!?! I wish they wouldn't dop anything. Most of what they do is jack things up.

/Ted K. is the biggest jack up.
2006-04-17 04:34:47 PM
Conrad Burns is a prime example of what's wrong with Congress - he's shady and offensive but he keeps bringing in the pork to MT so we keep him in office.
2006-04-17 04:35:50 PM
Feinstein, Schumer?
They must have bowed out to give others a chance.

Looks like a major snafu, they put him on the wrong list

Best line of the article Ted Kennedy (Massachusetts): "The Dealmaker" -- Over 43 years in the Senate, Democrat Ted Kennedy has fought serial battles on behalf of the working class -- from defending overtime pay and workplace-safety regulations to expanding health care and penalizing discrimination.

So if you disagree with what Ted Kennedy believes you are against the working class.
2006-04-17 04:36:18 PM
I like the fact that his response is that he does his best to spend as much federal money as he can...way to go buddy lets take you off the list.
2006-04-17 04:36:45 PM
As soon as Obama gets some experience, we'll have 2 of the top 10 from Illinois.
2006-04-17 04:38:14 PM
laura hasn't run in a single election, unlike ted who is the face of massachusetts in DC for the last 30 years.

p.s. "progressive" = socialist/communist.
2006-04-17 04:38:16 PM

You think George Ryan was good Governor, though, right??

/You were a "master debater" in high school also, right?
2006-04-17 04:38:26 PM
Somehow Joe Lieberman is missing from the list.
2006-04-17 04:38:37 PM
As soon as Obama gets some experience, we'll have 2 of the top 10 from Illinois.

Obama doesn't even need experience. Just look at the press the guy gets.

And Time is one of the Five Worst Magazines.

Big deal.
2006-04-17 04:39:02 PM
Saying one Senator is better than another is like saying one pile of dogshiat smells better than another pile of dogshiat.

What a useless, ball sucking article that was.
2006-04-17 04:39:26 PM
All 100 are pompous windbag clowns who are skimming off the top while mis-governing the country into the toilet - except for when they are cravenly bowing down to the latest ugly twit in the White House when he wants to incinerate foreigners. Having a "best and worst" contest for the Senate is like rating a group of car-jacking crack whores.
2006-04-17 04:39:39 PM
p.s. "progressive" = socialist/communist.

If that's the way you feel, you must also think:

"conservative" = fascist/dictator

2006-04-17 04:39:58 PM
Obama gets a lot of hype as the next great black hope. In reality, just a mediocre senator at best so far. Hasn't done shiate.

/so well-spoken
2006-04-17 04:39:59 PM
Somehow Joe Lieberman is missing from the list.

That is because he is a democrat who often criticizes his own party which is a no no to the press. Whereas if you are a Republican who criticizes his own party you are a "maverick moderate" whom the press loves.
2006-04-17 04:40:29 PM
How were they defining "best"? Best for the nation, best for the state, best for the party or best for their own ideals?
2006-04-17 04:40:52 PM
Dayton is a moran. He ran and won only because he had more money than who he was running against. Kinda nice when your daddy starts first a chain of department stores (Dayton's, now Marshal Fields) and then goes on to start Target and you end up not having to work a day in your life. His all time low point had to be when he shut down his Washington office cause of the increased threat level over like the 4th of July last year (or some other patriotic date like that). One other rant on the weasel. I work for the State of MN managing insurance. We had a state Employee who didn't bother to do their paperwork on time so they lost their health insurance. They appealed our decision to drop their insurance because of their screw up and we naturally said no. They then turn around and call Mark Dayton's office. Mind you Dayton is a US senator not a state. Naturally since he's some champion that believes everyone should have insurance regardless of rules and decisions made by people whose job it is to enforce the rules, he all but forced us to give this employee insurance back. I wanted to forward all my work to him since he apparently feels he can do my job better than I can.
Shockingly he's not even bothering to run for another term. Good riddance.

//End Rant
///Al Franken in 08?

Nice, I wasn't even aware of that... And I wikipedia that:

On November 6, 1963, 2 days after she turned 17, Bush (then Laura Welch) was driving her Chevrolet sedan with her classmate Judy Dyke. It was shortly after 8 p.m. on a clear night when Welch entered the intersection of State Highway 349 and Texas Farm Road 868 (now a four lane highway). Welch drove through the intersection's stop sign and collided with a Chevrolet Corvair sedan killing classmate and boyfriend Michael Dutton Douglas, also 17. Welch and Dyke sustained minor injuries; Douglas was later pronounced dead on arrival at Midland Memorial Hospital. Welch was not criminally charged in connection with the collision. In May 2000, a two-page police report about the car crash was made public. To this day, she does not talk about the accident.

You thought Cheney was bad? Laura was killing ppl at 17... You go with your bad killing spree self, Laura!

2006-04-17 04:43:56 PM
omg i am so friggen happy they didn't put barbara boxer or dianne feinstein in there for anything.
if they'd said anything about those two loudmouth extremists, good or bad, we'd never hear the end of it.

if we made hillary clinton our governor, it would complete the california trifecta of gross, annoying biatches.
2006-04-17 04:43:58 PM
Since Senator Mitch McConnel basically speaks for Senator Bunning and is Senator Bunning's surrogate campaigner, shouldn't he be on the five worst list by default?
