after reading this the above article about canadians being boring and lacking creativity is true. who else but an american would leave a 5 year old child in a burning hot car so he can protect his stereo while he is gone? this guy needs to get his priorities straight.

I must say that I DESPISE THE LA TIMES! Horrible layout (content way over on right) and 2 popups when visiting.

Yeah, those pop ups are annoying.

I hope it was a nice stereo at least. I hope he didn't almost kill the kid over a pull-out. j/k

I resent that American remark.

Don't get between a Mexican and his car stereo.

Man, this crap happens in Japan all the time. Usually it's people leaving thier kids in the car while they go play pachinko. I heard about one couple that left their infant in a coin locker (like the kind at the airport) so they could go have lunch without it crying the whole time.

C'mon. I think we oughta cut this guy a little slack. I'm sure it was a very valuble car stereo. It probably had sentimental value.

It'll be my pleasure. One ass-whuppin' coming right up.

BTW Skwidd- It DULIN! D-U-L-I-N. Get it right next time!

Maybe the child was armed with a chicken finger?

Well, the sad truth these days is that car stereos are worth more than young Hispanic children.

It's sad, but I have to agree with Leopold.

Not if the energy "crisis" makes us re-open the coal mines. Lots of need for children then.

Actually, this stuff happens here in Australia so much that we recently had a Public Service CAMPAIGN against it! Sad, isn't it? The number cause of leaving kids in their cars was parents gambling at the casios, followed by parents going shopping. The reason the campaign happened was that a tiny child died in the heat (it's hot down here!).
I'm glad people have their priorities so straight.
