Important: You must be the original photographer of your entry. Do not submit anyone else's photography as your own.

You are only allowed to enter a photograph once. Do not submit the same photo to another contest later.

Up to 3 photos can be entered into each contest, as long as each photo is of a different subject/composition. No multiple photos of your subject at different angles or composition. Please post each photo separately so they can be voted for individually.

*Please, keep your entries under 50kb*

see EvilToni's page for how-to

Ideally, your photograph should be presented as taken, with as little alteration in Photoshop or other image editing programs as possible. Please refer to submission rules

Legal: All photographers submitting photos to this contest are the legal copyright holders for the photos submitted and the photos are not to be considered free for any other use without written consent from the submitting photographers.

This Weeks Theme: "Modern Day Still Life"

To ensure that each photograph looks as good as it should, please adjust your contrast and brightness
so that each of the following shades of gray are distinct from one another and that the transition
from black to white is evenly paced. If you can't do so, you may lose some shadow and highlight detail.

BTW, if my "Cans" entry is too far outside the bounds of what the organizers would consider "still life", I'd be glad to let the mods delete it or take off the voting. I was trying to be a bit ironic with it, given contemporary times and the suggestion to "modernize" for the contest. :)

As far as I'm concerned anything goes and the interpretation is up to the artist :)

I have another version with some modifications, but since it's not allowed according to the rules I submit this non-retouched version.
