Hey, if it works in general elections, why not use it for internal elections, too?

Sounds like we need education reform--the ledgeslature can't even count. Somebody propose a "No Republican Child Left Behind" act. Test them smart, that's what I say!

That's all this merits, a 'mulligan' and a paragraph on some obscure website?

Shouldn't there be some kind of investigation? How does this not generate some kind of outrage?

Silly Republicans, leave the ballot stuffing to the professionals on the either side of the isle.

The liberal media strikes again. Politicians would never do something this dishonest.

Next thing you know, Pat Buchanan will wind up with an oddly high number of votes.

This is something I only normally see in African elections where half the population can't read, let alone figure out how to vote, and yet the turnout manages to hit something like 128%.

I'd really like to see more states follow wisconsin in requiring open source voting machines. Something's rotten in the state of diebold.

They're friendly. They were drinkin. Topic of what they do for a living came up. *PUNCH* They continued drinkin.

And no, I was not literally proud. Read that in more of a "boys can be so stupid but I love them anyway" voice.

2006-02-02 2:46:57 PM
Why? There were more votes in Florida than there were registered voters. Nobody seems to care about that.

Brilliant strategy. Have a new scandal every goddamned day so no one can focus on any one of them. You magnificent bastards.

I actually had a very suspicious voting experience in the last gubernatorial election here. I went in to vote, but I couldn't select anything. The lights were blinking, but when I pushed the buttons for the democratic candidates, they wouldn't select. I came out and told the election officials there was something wrong with the machine. I got a fairly snarky reply along the lines of "Well, it looks like you know how to vote, doesn't it?" They finally decided that the guy before me forgot to push the "cast vote" button, and so they did (casted the vote, that is) and then let me vote. I don't think that was the problem, however, since if you hadn't cast your vote, you could still go back and change candidates two, three times before pushing the "cast vote" button. I tested it while I was in there. I think there was something fishy going on and they dicked around with the machine when they saw a sweats-clad mom with a two year old coming up on the machine, thinking I wouldn't pay attention.

I'm not sure what's worse...

The leap to conclusions from two short sentences of information, or the gushing and waving.

Nah...I got to thinking that for the past 2 1/2 years, I have really tried to keep discussions on a rational level while having all kinds of shiat thrown at me...so I finally decided that while in Rome...It takes so much less thought to throw personal insults around and with the increase in nOObs that have table manners, I figured if I can't change them, I'll join them.

How do you like the new me, asshole libtard?

God, that's easy!

Dancin, would you then be willing to support the Decision '06: Glass Parking Lot thing I've got going? You vote out every incumbent on your ballot, regardless of party or how 'safe' they seem. (Although I have four people I'll allow to stay: Senators Bayh, McCain and Feingold, and House Rep Rahm Emanuel, D-IL. I have no beef with them.) Vote challenger, vote third party, write someone in if they're running unopposed. Whatever it takes. The incumbents can't get re-elected if nobody votes for them.

You in?
