It's not like when Magnum ended.

A Passage To Bangkok: And that's why you don't teach lessons.

Hahaha. I loved that episode.

Arrested Development SUCKED ALL AMOUNTS OF ASS! That 70's show was OK.. but not that great. Was fun watching Chong on TV again. Malcom in the Middle was OK as well, but I wont miss it.

I will however say that I will GLADLY open the door for Arrested Development. It was horrid.

To BrotherAlpha.. Titus was better than all 3 of these shows getting canceled. That was some really funny shiat.

Yes Skating with the Stars is farking retarded as well. I wont even TRY to watch that. I did try to watch Arrested Development and didnt even crack a smile. In fact, I blame them for 20 minutes of my life that I will never get back. Ugh.

/she was hotter as a redhead anyway.

I lost all respect for her when she turned to Scientology and then starred in Karla.

Showtime will probably pick it up. The network will use their winning formula of taking a smart sitcom and adding......boobies!
2006-01-18 10:14:14 PM
11 shows... you guys forgot House and Bones. ;) And add on 12 and 13 for Cops and America's Most Wanted..

14. It may be on PBS, but Antiques Roadshow will never die, ever. Not as long as they continue to promote it and hold antique conventions across the country.
2006-01-18 10:14:31 PM
BrotherAlpha: Just picked up season 3 of Titus on DVD today. That brings the number of short-run fox show I own on DVD to... 8 shows with a total of nearly a dozend sets.

Cool I didnt know they made this a TV show. Loved the movie and play.

I shall grind your bones to dust, and with your blood and it I shall make a paste, and of the paste a coffin I will rear and make two pastries of your shameful heads. And bid that strumpet, your unhallowed dam, like to the earth, swallow her own increase! This is the feast I have bid her to, and this the banquet she shall surfeit on.... And now prepare your throats.

Look up who wrote for AD. And see the trainwrecks they've been attached to. Then come back and tell me how farking smart that show was

Arrested Development is TV for people who like The Onion.

People who think The Onion is not funny, will not think A.D. is funny. And, amazingly enough, there's a whole slew of people who not only don't understand The Onion, but they think it's stupid. Same thing, macro scale.

Hey, maybe The Onion should buy Arrested Development and sponser it online for $2 a download... hmmm....I'm calling The Onion.

/loves the show, sad
2006-01-18 10:16:59 PM
The Onion is funny once in a while. The Onion is capable of funny.

AD, however, wasn't.

TV is for tards
2006-01-18 10:17:53 PM
Even with "That '70's Show" gone we will still have the phantom pain that is named Ashton Kutcher.
2006-01-18 10:18:04 PM
What would MacGuyver do?

2006-01-18 10:18:32 PM
More Mila Kunis...

///House is a good show too
2006-01-18 10:18:38 PM
I say combine them into one show called:

Malcom's arrested 70's development in the middle.
2006-01-18 10:18:48 PM
At least with AD gone, all of the moaning about how stupid America is for not watching it will go away. I can't think of a bigger turnoff for a show than when every self-important critic says you're an idiot for not liking the show or not watching it.

It was okay, but nowhere near as funny as people made it out to be. And, yes, I watched it quite a few times before forming my opinions.

/Simpsons should have been laid to rest by now
//Family Guy started to suck after it came back
2006-01-18 10:18:56 PM
New Family Guy is god-awful. It's like they think whatever crap they write, people will laugh because its Family Guy.

/No idea how anyone can like the new episodes
2006-01-18 10:19:06 PM
Reality TV sucks my wicked flavored ass.
2006-01-18 10:19:45 PM
King of Queens is funny. Its completely NOT like Arrested Development. Sure it didnt last long but I am liking it on Re-Runs. Better than watching Everybody Loves Raymond cuz that was ALMOST as gay as AD.

/me likes The Onion
//havent looked it up in a while
///glad AD is going away.
2006-01-18 10:21:28 PM
I'm sad. That 70's Show was one of my favorites. Donna was so hot. Malcolm in the Middle is another GREAT show that I hate to see go. As for Arrested Development, I've seen it get cancelled before, so I'm not surprised about it. They just need to find a better time for that show; that's all.

No more Donna? If I was Eric I would cry.
2006-01-18 10:22:19 PM
Family Guy is always awesome. I dont care. Sure some of the "new" stuff might not be up to par with what they did a few years ago but I dont care. Its a Sunday night thing. That and Simpsons.

I need mindless humor on Sunday night!

Reality TV sucks. Yes. Most of it. I still enjoy COPS when nothing else is on.
2006-01-18 10:22:46 PM
I don't care how good Arrested Development is, I won't watch it because it is on Fox and I will not watch that network. End of story.
2006-01-18 10:22:47 PM
Soni: Arrested Development is too hip for prime-time tv... most of the jokes go way over most people's heads. You either 'get' that show, or you don't (and never will). Most don't.

I looooove Arrested Development, but this is just not true.

I read an article that described the show as having 5 separate jokes simultanously happening in every scene (exagerated for effect). I think this is apt, and makes it so people can laugh at at least one of those things even if they aren't paying much attention.
2006-01-18 10:23:19 PM
Bob Loblaw could not be reached for comment. Must be writing in his Law Blog.

And Jason Bateman is actually a good actor, highly underrated.

Frankie Muniz is a douche bag. I hope he's never on TV again.
2006-01-18 10:23:45 PM
"Bones," is okay, only seen a few shows- "House" is farking awesome. Seth MacFarlane, Kevin Smith, take note- there is such a thing as a funny complete bastard. You just aren't it.

I never watched Malcolm in the Middle consistently, but I've always found that when I've caught random episodes from recent seasons, they've been pretty funny.

However, the most underrated show on Fox is still King of the Hill.

Arrested Development isn't funny, but "Ned and Stacy" is? That farking abortion of a television show? That and "NASCAR" explains a lot.

The grapevine is telling me that Showtime recently sweetened the negotiations pot by offering to pick up Arrested for two - count 'em, two - seasons upfront. That's a lot better than the paltry 13-episode commitment ABC was prepared to make. Meanwhile, at press tour on Tuesday, Fox president Peter Liguori confirmed that it is "highly unlikely" that Arrested will live on at Fox (no, really?), although he said he's holding off on making a final decision until after the show's last four episodes air in February. "It is regrettable that we did not find the audience that that show deserved. But it's a [Twentieth] property, and if there is interest from other networks, it's the studio's right to put it up to bid." Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide

Nip/Tuck is okay, until you realize that every episode is the same. Christian gets laid. Sean tries to be nice. Julia struggles with divergant attractions. Matt is batshiat.

All the rest is just window dressing.
2006-01-18 10:31:02 PM
I agree. SlowTimedRapid is the dumbest farker to exist on this planet. He woulda voted for "Man Getting Hit in the Groin by a Football" too. He's the reason AD is a bad fit for FOX's viewership.
2006-01-18 10:31:40 PM

Frankie Muniz is a douche bag. I hope he's never on TV again.

Ditto...Blows all his money on expensive cars thinking he's going to have a job after Malcolm; the guy's an allstar.

/child actors ALWAYS get more work...everyone knows that
2006-01-18 10:32:32 PM
Put me in the AD fan camp. Brilliant show, because of the writing, characters and actors who portray them. But Fox must have something against "brilliant", with few exceptions (Pre-2000 Simpsons, first three seasons of That 70s Show, Malcolm before Dewey turned 30).

I hope someone else picks up Arrested Development. And at least we can look forward to King of the Hill and 7th Heaven finally going bye-bye.

BTW, was anyone else wondering how That 70s Show managed to hit 1978 in about the second season, and then stick there forever? At least, if they're smart, the finale will take place on New Year's Eve 1979...

Of course, I still wish they'd bring back (or release on DVD) Action and Grosse Pointe. Hey, wait a second. One of those, they finally did. Whoo-hoo...
2006-01-18 10:32:45 PM
Wow, someone else remembers Quark? Wasn't that on for like 14 seconds?

Would probably seem dated now, but was a good laugh when I was a wee child.

/That 70's Show squeezed everything they could out of that decade
//Remember the decade well... skipped the drugs
2006-01-18 10:35:09 PM
can we make a network that only plays shows Fox cancels? It'd be better than Fox is now.

Firefly, Futurama, The Critic. Maybe throw in Carnivale for good measure (I can't believe HBO cancelled that. You can't take a show that is building to something that big and just cancel it, it's criminal. At least give the guy a damn season to wrap it up, the end point has been defined since the first episode.).
2006-01-18 10:35:26 PM
Yea.. Nip Tuck was awesome the first season. Last season I didnt watch much of. Its turning into too much drama and not enough fun shiat to watch. Its still pretty good. As for Ned and Stacy.. I dont know. It was just funny as hell to me. And NASCAR is enjoyable. I know lots might bash me for that.. but I prefer that over anything else.. except maybe Kickboxing or Ultimate Fighting. If the Daytona 500 was on at the same time as the Superbowl, I can be sure that I would watch WAY more of the Daytona 500.
2006-01-18 10:35:30 PM
RicoSuave: He woulda voted for "Man Getting Hit in the Groin by a Football" too.

Hey, let's not dis the classics. I mean, Barney's film had heart, but "Football in the Groin" had a football in the groin!

/one of the best episodes ever
2006-01-18 10:35:50 PM
"70's Show" used to be good, but it needs to go. Its gotten lame.

"Malcolm" was ok, but never watched it.

"Arrested" seemed so retarded for the five minutes I watched it, that I never bothered to give it another chance.

/only watches FOX for "Simpsons"

AD -- very good

Malcom -- good

'70s -- barely OK, just for remembrance factor

/also seeing Kurtwood Smith always reminds of his best role EVAR!.........Clarence Boddicker from ROBOCOP

////Robocop kicks it!
2006-01-18 10:37:28 PM
As weird as it may sound, I have found things to enjoy about almost all of the comedies mentioned. I love AD and I think Malcolm and 70s were both great at one time. That's the same way I feel about The Simpsons and Family Guy, they have recently lost their spark but have all made me laugh. I don't really get why people who love one show have to hate another that tries just as hard, and I'm not going to tell someone what they like watching sucks. Unless it's a reality show.
2006-01-18 10:38:44 PM
Just dont ever cancel 24!

shrapnil77: "House" is farking awesome. Seth MacFarlane, Kevin Smith, take note- there is such a thing as a funny complete bastard.

Gyah. I saw an episode of House. That dialogue was farking terrible. It actually made me angry at how bad it was. Family Guy's not what it used to be, neither is the Simpsons (by a long shot). Even this season of Arrested Development isn't as good as the first two.

/now get off my lawn
//south park is hitting its peak

Well, that's two pieces of good news. Pity about Arrested Development.
