l0lz!!!11!

But really, vandalism is a serious social problem. Talk to your children. Give them other venues to which they can express themselves artistically, like pornography or cross dressing.

"Be sure to ask the Navy people about the brass goat statute - just to see if anything happened there," he said of the statute that stands inside Gate 1.

I would ask, but I believe the statue of limitations has run out on that.

Researching online, though, I came across this little nugget:
Go to the Naval Academy and laugh at the silly plebes. They still have two weeks of Plebe Summer (aka HELL) left, and they could sure use a little mocking. They're still in Whiteworks, or what most people think of as a Sailor's Outfit, so they're highly photogenic. While coming in the Main Gate, be sure to check out the highly polished testicles on the Brass Goat. Tradition!
I may have to try that myself, but what does one use for polish?

That plane is super-visible when you are even close to the Academy. (In the winter I can see it from my house, and I don't even live close.) Painting it is truly a stroke of brilliance and stealth.

Mr. Van Winkle offered the Naval Academy some friendly advice:

"Be sure to ask the Navy people about the brass goat statute - just to see if anything happened there," he said of the statute statue that stands inside Gate 1.

West Point cadets painted up the USNA goat in Army colors in the past.

Clicky pops.

I was just on the alum site to see what other shenanigans went on this weekend. By one report, a certain Midi at the Air Force Academy on exchange now has 10 pounds of dead squid in his room.

And for the record -- (we) AF cadets pulled this same trick on them a few years ago -- painted up one of their jets as a Thunderbird.

But Kudos to these guys -- they pulled it off well, used soluble paint, and didn't get crap all over the grass.

And for Saturday: play ball!

pretty much the same time I noticed British Columbia gave a shat about the US armed forces, if I were to do that it would be destruction of state property if I recall. Get a good lawyer, and don't do it on public/university property.

"This jet is in the center of cadet life," Air Force Academy spokesman John Van Winkle said yesterday. "You cannot be a cadet at the academy and not notice that plane."

Simple. They were caught napping!

I like the polishing of George Washingtons horse's testicles at West Point better. And their own cadets did that. Still, great stuff.

Submitter sounds a little bitter, and possibly did not RTFA. I'm AF and that was funny stuff. Everyone interviewed regardless of branch thought it was funny. I mean come on, that's NOT easy to do. That plane is visible from everywhere but the shiat closet. Plus, the paint washes right off.

Van Winkle... Vanilla Ice's Dad?

2005-10-07 8:10:25 AM
Kudos to the Navy for putting the Army Air Corps...errrrrrrr....Air Force in their place.

A stunt worthy of Army cadets. This is going to take a while to top.

I think that was just a little sacrifice on the spirit of the article in order to get the pun in.

So its ok if they pull the prank and get away with it. no harm done. What happens if they are caught?

has anyone been caught doing one of those Spirit runs (or what ever they called it, i forget)

I imagine you would just rub 'em with your hands. Many brass mascot statues have polished areas where students rub them for luck. For example the nose of "Old Grit" the Chesepeake bay retriever statue at my ala mater UMBC has a shiny nose. Because we are from the part of Maryland where we don't jiggle goat testicles. You GOT THAT, Annapolis?

Vietnam, America's own Ludovico Experiment. Europe had it run on them during World War II.

Now, if only the Mideast would have it run on them.
