now you guys know what it's like to live in California.

What really sucks is that none of our gas comes from the gulf, yet our prices rise "due to the hurricane." bullshiat. Glad to hear the state Atty Gen is looking into it.

Cheapest near me today is 2.79.

1.35 CA / litre when i looked here yesterday (Ottawa). Saw it at 1.49 / litre in Montreal on Friday when we went down for the Megadeth show (awesome, by the way). We took the bus.

I'm trying to conserve gas. Starting the car pool again that we stopped over the summer due to vacation schedules and such. It is about 65 KM return for me to get to work - and my jeep isnt the easiest thing int he world on gas.

We're just making small adjustments to our day-to-day activities - consolidating tasks instead of running out to do this, and then a couple of hours later, running out to do that. Plan a little better and we only go out once.

So far so good. Much more of this and we're buying a smart car for commuting purposes though.

It hit $3.29 / gallon for the 89 octane 10% ethanol state subsidized fuel and $3.39 for the regular 87 octane here in Dubuque, IA but has appeared as of yesterday to backed back down to $2.99 and $3.09 respectively.

I saw it over 1UKP a litre yesterday, on the M4. It's more usually about 94p/litre, having been as little as 81p in the last sixth months.

And it's not gas, it's liquid.

90p/litre for Unleaded, according to the AA (http://www.theaa.com/allaboutcars/fuel/). About $1.65/litre, or around $6.25 per gallon according to my bad maths. Good thing my 1.4 Corsa doesn't use much.

Was hoping to find this stry online. Look at this pic, from a gas station in Boston:

[image from news.bostonherald.com too old to be available]

Yes, the guy is charging $1.90 per half gallon in the story here. Now, if that isn't a sneaky way of getting sales, despite the station owner's explanation, I don't know what is.

As for me, I'm happy that I live in Boston, where public transportation can take you basically anywhere you want to go. Although, I know we're all in the same noat, since I know my winter heating bill will be insane.

3.19 seems to be the standard as of yesterday from about ten or so gas stations I passed driving between Carnegie, PA and Washington PA.

Vote for me, I'll fight global warming!

(Actually, gas prices seem to be doing a good job of fighting global warming right now, but still vote for me.)
2005-09-04 01:42:02 PM
$1.31 per litre Canadian.. thats $4.95 per gallon Canadian.. and $4.15 per gallon USD

What pisses me off the most.. all of the gas stations would have paid half of that when they got the gas in their tanks a week ago. :(

Not gouging my ass.

Sorry, I wanted to post the link to the $1.90 a half gallon pic, not a long story anyways.
