Half or more of these pictures aren't even textures.

/a "texture" shot involves being about 3-5 inches away from your target and using a macro feature
//highly dismayed at the fact that his textures are all on a dead PC... will attempt to recover them tonight so he can support the above

2005-08-04 8:33:53 AM
I'd figure a photograph that explores texture could be from any distance...as long as a single, or multiple textures are visible. My photo may not be the best example of a texture shot, but I think there's several textures in it, so I submitted it. *shrug*

don't feel too bad, the thread won't let you post images if they are too big. it's kindof frustrating when you are trying to adjust images and upload them while half asleep at 4 in the morning. it even caused me to post the wrong version of one of my pictures, and i am positive that it would have won if it had the levels adjusted slightly differently.

i'm guessing the limit is around 200kb, but it would be nice to have a guideline about this.

Angelzero: Half or more of these pictures aren't even textures.

I would agree with this contest and with the past ones that there have been entries that don't exactly fit the theme. Since this is not a dedicated hardcore photography site I expect there to be submissions that don't quite fit. For the most part though it seems that the photos that do get the most votes do fit the theme.
