This Weeks Theme: Furniture

Description:
Pictures of furniture. From classic to contemporary, and bedroom to kitchen. Chairs, love seats, tables, desks, beds, dressers, lamps and on and on.

I will once again urge all participants to send a Farkback to Drew to request that these contests get integrated into the Fark/Totalfark site like the Photoshop and Audio Edit contests are set up. Sorry but I have become far to busy to maintain the Farktography site. I will do my best to keep it going until it is integrated.

I had almost forgot about the contest tonight as I was working on recoding a site and need to finish it tonight. I hope everyone has fun with the contest tonight and I will be popping in and out to see how things are going.

Thanks

hi there MorrisBird, can you use a tripod and a cable release? i wouldn't be without *both* for all night shots and often day time shooting as well.

But it's not really about the bookshelf.

Taken in the basement of one of my father's best friends, about a year after his death, while i was helping his family retreive documents from his old computers.

Theologians should get the joke. It's a sign he rescued from a bookstore that was remodeling.

Thanks. We all miss the guy. One of the last true mormon heretics.

. . . . and by saying that, some utah valley TFers may immediately know who he was, who my dad is, etc. Hmm.

Have to stop going through my old pictures. Accidentally ran across some of me & the ex having a good time. Was a bit of a kick in the nuts.

ZeoNekros: it isn't working copy/paste either. 404.

OMFG. The stupid FARK filter is screwing up the URL. The name of the image in the URL should be Y-A-M-A-shiat-A5cb, and not yamashiata5cb. Fark filter is taking the "shiat-a" in the URL and making it "s-h-i-a-t-a". Grrr.

I renamed the file and re-upped it. Here it is:

Kickstart UF:

Ha ha... I think mine was purchased from Office Max. My sister took it with her to college, and when she was home after freshman year, I stole it, and have used it ever since. It just happens to be more comfortable than my bed.
If you need a new one, I saw some real good ones for sale yesterday when I bought my new camera.

It's a shame when people turn them into just tables. The machine itself is a fascinating work of art. At least mine is, it's all painted and engraved.

AJkiller23: Did a quick check. Apparently, both tables have their machines intact. Pretty cool.

Very cool, indeed. I hear they're all worth quite a bit of money these days, moreso when they're complete. I'm just lacking a belt-otherwise, it would still work.

Error403: Do you know how many Naugas it takes to cover a chair like that?

Naugas shed their skin, so no Naugas were harmed in the making of that. I've still got a whole roll of it in the closet that's straight from the factory.

TempestBeauty: Piano at my in-law's house. First time using an entirely manual camera.

VERY nice depth of field (or lack there of). Definitely adds atmosphere to that shot!

/started on a fully manual camera using the inserts from film boxes to judge exposure
//Don't regret that at all. :D
