after 17 years of construction, king ludwig II got to live in it only 172 days before being declared mad and removed from the throne. 2 days later, he was found dead with his shrink.

1634 windmill - holland

i never realized that the people who ran these windmills lived in them too. the first floor has a kitchen, dining room, living room, and bedroom all in a doughnut shape around the central shaft.

this is an ancient egyptian obelisk. a woman pharoah ordered this built to be the largest one ever made, but it was too big to finish. i win.
