Should have a Farktography tag so you don't have to use the Cool tag.

St. Madeline's Catholic Church, Trona, CA. A fine example of Trona-style architecture, it consists of a narrow, white, almost featureless rectangular block.

As usual, you guys never cease to blow my mind with your photography skill. I'm still getting used to my new D70, but here is my mediocre (and late) contribution to this thread.

Downtown Chicago facing South from the 16th floor lobby of the Merchandise Mart Holiday Inn. Details as above. Its about 2:00 am and I think this exposure was around 2 seconds, should have gone longer.

Hoover Dam, midnight about a week before Christmas.

I moved from Chicago to Seattle last year, and made a very long road trip in two legs. Chicago down to OKC and west to Vegas, where I spent five days, then west to I-5 and up to Seattle. My last day of the first leg I drove through half of New Mexico and all of Arizona to Vegas, and I was very tired heading into the Lake Mead area knowing that I was getting close finally. Unfortunately traffic was completely stopped for a bad accident, and everyone just sat on their cars and watched some meteors fly by for about an hour. After traffic finally got going we were driving past the dam and I couldn't resist pulling off at an observation area and just chilling out. The exposure on this is around six minutes.

No voting on this one since I don't think it quite fits the theme, and really its not that great a photo, but I couldn't resBoobiesing it as I ran across it while going through photos.

i believe your 2nd picture is lake point tower (the one off of LSD and near navy pier, right?). marina city is located on north avenue (i think), near the house of blues. it's the one with the cars backed up to the edges looking like they'll fall out.

/just wanted to clear that up... nice pictures! i <3 chicago!
