I know those words, yet this article makes no sense.
2002-04-06 05:20:38 PM
...and it gets picked.

Now, I'm not saying Golden Words have bribed Drew, and I'm not saying they haven't, but the fact remains that two of these articles were chosen and the woman who built a church out of lego for her dead cat was not. Coincidence?

i have the nitpicker's guide to the galaxy biatch
2002-04-06 08:31:40 PM

Even more amazingly unfunny than the other thing.
2002-04-06 08:31:54 PM
Frank_Lee_Mental: agreed. I've submitted quite a few links today and most were better than the stuff that's getting posted today. I haven't subscribed to TotalFark yet - the Lego church story sounds cool.

I'm not surprised.

Okay, no one bug resident space nerd Wil about this stuff. I'm sure he was getting too many groupies in his dressing room at the time to care.

Really, some people have way too much time on their hands, and sites like this are the result. Of course, people with too much time on their hands who mock other people with too much time on their hands are called Farkers.

Ladies and gentlemen, teh funny has left the building.

Wow. I haven't seen comedy this bad since Hot Shots: Part Deux.

i always wondered what toilets look like in the future they never seem to follow the actors into the bathroom on the show.
Sir the klingons have hit the sewer main shiat is spilling all over the ship!

I was confused by : "Out Damned Spot", A third season episode where Data, a super-brain with legs, affixes two pieces of buttered bread to the back and stomach of his cat, Spot. He then repeatedly tosses him off a catwalk (no pun) in cargo bay 5 to see if he can float since buttered bread always lands 'butter-side up' and cats land on there feet. After about 20 minutes of this cat abuse, Geordi busts in and screams: "DATA! WHAT THE FARKIN' HELL ARE YOU DOING TO THAT CAT?"
2002-04-06 08:43:42 PM
Did anyone else notice that Wil doesn't have TotalFark?

I would like to step forward and offer to PayPal his first month of TotalFark as a general celebration of 2 consecutive Star Trek articles.
2002-04-06 08:44:34 PM
This wasn't the worst article written by a four year old I've ever seen, but it came close.
2002-04-06 08:47:15 PM
Can someone tell me what the point of total fark is, and who started the Wheaton thing?

about it. Worst link ever!
2002-04-06 08:55:48 PM
Other than a bunch of no getting laid dweebs, who cares.
2002-04-06 08:56:09 PM
. . . and who started the Wheaton thing?

Are you talking about his mom or STTNG? He is a person you know; 'thing' seems a little harsh.

2002-04-06 09:00:13 PM
So with total fark, you get more od this same carp, and sooner? Sign me up.

The most egregious continuity error was when Wesely Crusher held off an entire contingent of Romulan soldiers armed only with an obsolete and inoperable water cooled machine gun.

I really didn't notice any of these errors when I was working on TNG.

I was too busy gettin' it on with Ashley Judd to notice.

2002-04-06 09:07:02 PM
Wow. that sucked.

I think Drew is holding Teh Funny hostage. He's purposely posting lame links in an attempt to get more of us to sign up for TotalFark, since it will be the only way we'll see anything even slightly amusing.

Hey Wil, call TNN and tell them to quit smooshin' the picture. It makes your momma's ass look fat!
2002-04-06 09:23:37 PM
This is incredibly stupid.
2002-04-06 09:24:43 PM
Hmmm... Lets put it this way: Idiot idiot idiot idiot. How stupid can one be? Not only were most of these false and idioticaly vague, but they werent even funny...

What gives?

2002-04-06 09:29:12 PM
My favorite actual TNG continuity error (and by "favorite", I mean the only one worth remembering), is one where the Enterprise fires phasers from its torpedo launchers. I always wondered how a goof that huge got past everyone.
2002-04-06 09:30:59 PM
Normally I don't like it when people whine about lame things getting posted. This time, however, I'm going to whine about it myself.

A 404 error would be more

than this link.
2002-04-06 09:31:00 PM
I guess I'm geek enough that I hoped the article would do what it said, but it looks more like they put a few Star Trek scripts in the blender and posted the results. If it's a parody, it's the least funny one I've seen, and least interesting.

Oh, and Wil? It's not nice to brag. I'm sure that every straight man in America wants Ashley Judd, but still..
2002-04-06 09:31:48 PM
Zylon Noooooooo! Nothing was wrong there! There are really small back-up phaser cannons in the photon tubes! It's a secret armament.
2002-04-06 09:34:47 PM
You didn't? Did you?

MMmmmmm Ashley Judd....

Which made me totally forget my point. WTF is Fark doing posting that unfunny crap?
2002-04-06 09:36:27 PM
HEY! thats my Engineering Newspaper at Queens. I just picked up a few copies today, IF whoever linked THAT wants to know... Im Warren Donner, won prize for Lounge Rat in eng lounge... im just really surprised Golden Words is in Fark...

2002-04-06 09:36:36 PM
I am proud to anounce that I do not have enogh wisdom in the ways of Star Trek to know a plot hole if it bit me in the arse.

On the other hand I can clearly warn you if that is a correlian corvette comming this way!
2002-04-06 09:46:48 PM
I'm sure that only a star trek geek could find this article funny.

Just like any liberal will foam at the mouth laughing at any story that calls Bush a moron.
2002-04-06 09:47:36 PM
WIL! I heard you made her wear these little outfits!

yeah, not to biatch but this was kinda stupid. I've posted a bunch of stuff that I KNOW was funnier than this, and it never sees the light of day. biatch biatch biatch, I know :)
2002-04-06 10:01:29 PM
That because the fark post articles, and the totalfark recieve them.

How can an article making fun of Star Trek be so remarkably un-funny? Truly a sad day for satire.

lol I had a good laugh, click the link it's a good 5 mins read, much better then scrolling past the daily trolls that just post comments on how much everything on the 'net sucks.

2002-04-06 10:39:57 PM

Wil: i would have been getting it on with olivia d'abo...nothing like bragging about "throwing it in" a Q.
2002-04-06 10:42:39 PM
I'm now with the whole 'Star Trek' crew, but I did laugh at the soggy corn flakes bit.

Something. Something. Ever.
2002-04-06 10:48:47 PM
I am only a mid-grade Star Trek geek.. enough knowledge to basically understand what's going on in a show or movie... but did any of the hardcore Trek fans think this was funny?
